Phantom Galaxies, a Web3 mech shooter ARPG, is moving into closed beta.
According to the statement, those who received the 'Zorran's Favour' NFT will be the first to access the upcoming playtest. This NFT is awarded to anyone who has won a community competition or has been active in the community. The first batch of participants will be invited to the beta in April, with more players to be added in time.
In the coming update, players will get to experience new Starfighter classes, each with distinct abilities and powerful Ultimate moves that define the features of that class. The campaign missions of Episode 1 will be playable, with networked multiplayer on Halberd-001, a new Combat UI, and a revised tutorial. The team will also introduce the first version of the gear system and an initial bounty system with a new Bounty Terminal UI.
Instead of playing with a built-in avatar, players could also experience their adventure using randomized Avatars. This will allow players to enter the next chapter of Phantom Galaxies with their own appearance.
The closed beta will also feature exciting upgrades to the gameplay UI, inventory UI, and basic game economy. New animations were also added to the Ultimate moves, Mech attributes, Weapon attributes, and new Archetypal Weapons.
While not many details yet, the team has promised to unveil more info on how other players can join the closed beta. Many NFT holders, especially planet owners, have been eager to check out the latest build. After the closed beta, there will be an open playtest, with multiplayer PvE available at some point.
