Walken has announced the release of a major update to their free-to-play move-to-earn game: Multiple Gene Fusion.
The feature was released as part of update 1.9.7 last week, and makes it possible to get a new CAThlete with up to 6 non-common genes. This makes the Fusion feature more useful than ever before as you can now have an effect on the number of non-common genes your new CAThlete can get, including the rarity of those genes too. By adding this ability, players can now tactically make their own gene setup to get the most out of the experience.
According to the recent guide, in order to have a better chance of ending up with a new CAThlete featuring multiple non-common genes from Fusion, you should fuse a CAThlete with a couple of non-common genes. An alternative is to fuse up to 5 CAThletes with 1 non-common gene in each CAThlete. A special bonus is available if one of the fused CAThletes is a Genesis one: if you fuse a Genesis CAThlete, there is a 100% guarantee that you’ll get another new Genesis CAThlete from fusion.
By having a CAThlete inhabiting various different genes of varying rarity, you’ll have a better chance earning more rewards both in PvE and PvP modes, giving you a competitive edge over other players, while potentially having a more valuable CAThlete to trade on the market.
The developers have teased that the gene setup of your CAThlete will have a “way bigger role in their performance” in the near future.
Fusion used to be limited-time event, but ended up coming back as a permanent feature. You can find the guide for multiple gene fusion here, while official documentation for the fusion feature is available here.
