Web3 social war strategy game Duper has officially launched the Duper League system, giving everyone a chance to wager in weekly matches to play to earn a number of different prizes.

What Is Duper League?

Duper League is a new competition system that lets Duper players compete in weekly tournaments for rewards while spectators bet on their favorite players to win their share.

Every Sunday, from 1 PM to 3 PM UTC, registered players who pay an entry fee of 50 Chips get to take part in 2 high-stakes matches in a row to earn bonus points and climb the leaderboard for weekly rewards. Before these matches though, players attempt to earn as many base points as they can from Ranked games during the week. If you reach the Chip milestone of at least 50 Chips in Ranked payouts in the past week, you can sign up for the league and participate while others bet on you.

For the Sunday you sign up for, you’ll need to show up within 5 minutes after each game starts. If you don’t show up within 5 minutes, the matchmaking will begin without you. Participating at least once will have you show up on the league leaderboard, so if you play league games in one week but don’t sign up for the next one, you will still be visible on the leaderboard, but nobody will be able to bet on you for that week. The leaderboard is ordered by league game total payouts and players can not only look forward to weekly rewards, but end-of-season prizes too based on leaderboard position.

The Duper League is designed as an introduction to the upcoming Duper Bowl, which is planned to take place at the end of Season IV. For context, Duper Season 4 kicked off on January 27th, 2025, and will end on May 1st, 2025. Renewed season passes arrived on March 7th with new Gold and Platinum Passes as part of a large mid-season economy update, but the duration of the season has stayed the same. The Duper Bowl is planned to last for 1 week, so it won’t be long before that goes live as well.

What Can You Earn in Duper League?

By playing in the Duper League, you can earn Abstract XP, Gold Keys, Silver Keys, Chips, and Genesis Ace.

Specifically, participating in weekly league matches gives you the chance to earn 5x Abstract XP than you would in regular Ranked games. The top earner for each week is awarded 1 Gold Key, while players with positive S&L receive 2 Silver Keys each, and all other participants are given 1 Silver Key each. Both Gold and Silver Keys are used to open lootboxes that each contain 1 item that may be an NFT or soulbound asset.

When it comes to the total end-of-season leaderboard rewards, the top 10 players with the highest league game total payouts are rewarded with 5 Gold Keys each. The top 3 players however split Chips based on the number of league matches played in the season multiplied by 25 Chips. Each of the top 3 players also gets one Genesis Ace NFT. The Genesis Ace NFT is a new NFT collection that launched in February 2025 with a supply of 999. Holding this asset gets you VIP status in Duper, priority for future assets from this web3 gaming project, and access to priority team support and exclusive Discord channels. Staking the NFT is also possible for those looking to get an Abstract XP multiplier alongside free weekly Chip vouchers.

You don’t have to directly participate in the league to benefit from this new tournament system. If you prefer betting instead, then you can choose to bet on players based on their weekly performance to earn 1 Silver Key when betting with more than 50 Chips. This is parimutuel betting done using the following formula, according to official documentation: Ranked game total payouts this week * 0.1 + League game total payouts this week. The multiplier (0.1 in this example) is subject to change every week.

Once the first game starts, no more betting is possible, with betting rewards said to be settled after every week’s league games. The betting benefits competitors too, as they earn 4% from all bets placed on them, while the game’s developers take a 1% cut.
