Voxie Tactics, the free to play voxel-based tactics RPG from AlwaysGeeky Games, has officially joined forces with Immutable in a strategic partnership. This brings the game into Immutable Play, a platform designed to offer unified rewards, leaderboards, and discovery for web3 games. The announcement puts Voxie Tactics among the first wave of Polygon titles to benefit from this new deal.
Voxie Tactics Expands Into Immutable Play
AlwaysGeeky Games confirmed that players of Voxie Tactics can now access the Immutable Play platform to take part in exclusive quests, rise through new leaderboards, and earn rewards that reflect their in-game actions. This partnership comes with a new way for the game's community to earn recognition and prizes by simply playing the game. According to the studio, this feature is now fully active and backed by Immutable's blockchain tools.
Voxie Tactics will now be part of a growing list of Polygon-based games that gain support through the Polygon gaming hub. This follows the launch of the "Gaming on Polygon" hub inside Immutable Play back in October, where Polygon Labs and Immutable introduced 5 web3 games with integrated leaderboards, quests, and a combined reward pool of $100,000.
Steven Ball, CEO of AlwaysGeeky Games, commented on the partnership:
"AlwaysGeeky Games is thrilled to team up with Immutable and Polygon for an exciting collaboration that celebrates Voxie Tactics players. Through Immutable Play, fans can now earn exclusive rewards and discover a whole new way to play, collect, and get recognized for their engagement."
How the Polygon Hub Works
The Polygon hub was launched as a strategic update to how games onboard into the Immutable Play platform. Rather than adding titles one by one, the hub lets multiple games go live at once with shared features like quests, leaderboards, and incentive tools. It supports games built on both Polygon PoS and Agglayer-powered CDK chains, offering a smoother path for developers and more flexible gameplay for players.
Through its new infrastructure setup, Immutable's zkEVM will also be linked to Polygon's Agglayer. This lets players move digital assets more easily across games. The platform has already recorded over $40 million in bridge TVL and more than 250,000 monthly active users, and now games like Voxie Tactics are tapping into this active ecosystem.
The goal is to reduce friction and boost adoption by giving developers a way to scale quickly without having to build complex systems from scratch. In Voxie Tactics' case, it means easier discovery for new users and more engagement from the community through shared rewards.
What This Means for Voxie Tactics Players
For players, the change brings new ways to engage with the game. Voxie Tactics already includes a mix of turn-based combat, team strategy, and item collection across multiple game modes. With its mobile launch in August, the game became available on both Android and iOS, featuring full cross-play with PC.
With this new partnership, players can now access quests and seasonal competitions that connect directly to Immutable's Play platform. Those who perform well in matches or complete game tasks will earn leaderboard placement and receive rewards.
The update also builds on recent game expansions like Titan Arena. Launched earlier in 2025, this PvP mode features "Titan Voxies", which are preset characters with fixed gear and equal loadouts. It levels the playing field by putting all focus on player skill. Winners earn Gold Voxite, which can be converted into VOXEL tokens.
A Closer Look at Voxie Tactics
Voxie Tactics has grown steadily since its original PC launch. The game combines old-school grid-based combat with NFT-backed characters called Voxies. Each character has a class, gear, and unique skillset. You can form teams of up to 4 Voxies and enter PvE missions, exploration zones, or competitive PvP arenas.
Despite being built on blockchain, Voxie Tactics is free to play. You do not need to own NFTs to get started or progress through the game. But owning Voxies or game NFTs can unlock bonus features and event access. This approach keeps the game open to new players while rewarding those who invest in its ecosystem.
The August mobile release brought UI improvements and an AI training mode to help beginners. Now, with the Immutable Play integration, all platforms (PC and mobile) gain access to the same reward structure and leaderboard tracking.
Immutable's Broader Strategy
Immutable shifted gears in October with the launch of its Polygon gaming hub. Instead of onboarding games one at a time, it now brings in multiple titles at once. Voxie Tactics was among the first 5 games to go live through this group rollout. The move aims to give both players and builders a more connected space to grow and explore web3 games.
Through Immutable Play, players now get access to quests, seasonal rewards, and leaderboards that track activity across supported titles. The platform also includes tools like Immutable Passport, which makes it easy for users to jump into games without complex setup. These features are part of a broader plan to link Immutable's tools with Polygon's cross-chain ecosystem.
Robbie Ferguson, co-founder of Immutable, stated:
"Voxie Tactics takes everything people love about classic tactics games: deep strategy, competitive PvP, and a passionate community. We're thrilled to support AlwaysGeeky Games on Immutable Play, as part of the Polygon partnership, as they bring a truly player-owned tactics experience to mobile and PC players around the world."
What Comes Next
With the integration now live, Voxie Tactics players can access new quests, rewards, and seasonal leaderboards through Immutable Play. The current rollout focuses on boosting activity inside the game while giving it more visibility through shared tools across the Polygon hub.
More titles are expected to go live in the hub over the coming months. Voxie Tactics is part of this first wave, tapping into shared infrastructure and new incentive systems that bring players back into the fold while expanding cross-game reach.
