UFC has announced that they have officially formed a multi-year partnership with digital entertainment company Concept Labs to publish UFC Strike: Fight Camp, a mobile-first, roster management game, in Q4 this year.
UFC Strike is the official digital collectible partner of UFC, who make it possible to own memorable video highlights of prominent fighters in the form of Moment NFTs, which are fully-licensed UFC video NFTs on the Flow blockchain. The digital collectible partner is also the presenting sponsor of UFC’s 30th anniversary, as well as the Matchmaker Sweepstakes, through which one fan will have the opportunity of meeting with Dana White, the UFC President, to whom they’ll be able to pitch their dream matchup.
Through this new partnership, Concept Labs will build upon the UFC Strike Digital Collectibles originally launched by Dapper Labs by creating the first UFC Strike game that will support the officially-licensed NFTs, bringing further utility while supporting digital ownership.
The CEO of Concept Labs, James Zhang, said the following in the announcement:
"We are excited to expand our partnership with UFC and introduce an array of innovative games and offerings that will further engage and delight the passionate UFC fanbase. As the presenting sponsor of the 30-year anniversary of UFC and as exclusive licensees of digital and video collectibles, we take pride in building upon the tremendous success of UFC Strike and bringing its unforgettable moments to life on the Flow blockchain."
More than 100k fans have already bought NFTs from the official digital collectibles partner, with the tokenized highlights getting sold out “within hours of release.” Next to the upcoming video game, there is already a premium UFC fan experience for fans to enjoy called Champion Club, whose members that own UFC Strike Champion Moments get various benefits, including exclusive VIP lounges at UFC fights that give members “rare and unforgettable opportunities to meet with the biggest stars in UFC.”
Tracey Bleczinski, the UFC Senior Vice President of Global Consumer Products, added:
“We’re thrilled to welcome Concept Labs as our new development and publishing partner for UFC Strike. Concept Labs is widely recognized as a leader in digital entertainment and the gaming industry, and we’re looking forward to working with them as they build on the trailblazing work Dapper Labs started to enhance the digital collectible experience for UFC fans.”
