Following closed alpha testing, the public launch for Trinity of the Fabled is now officially here, allowing anyone to download the soulslike RPG and start playing for free.

What Are The Key Features of Trinity of the Fabled’s Public Launch?

For this public release, players can dive into exploring a dark fantasy world built in Unreal Engine 5. The game’s world called the Abyss consists of 3 separate locations for now, each of which has their own challenging boss to defeat in third-person action RPG gameplay. Every time you take out these bosses, you have an opportunity to earn legendary item drops.

Next to epic boss fights, you can look forward to fighting a variety of different enemies, with up to 8 enemy types said to be included for this launch. All enemies have a chance to drop a range of different items to use to your advantage as you learn the patterns of each enemy type in order to figure out their strengths and weaknesses.

While you can acquire loot from slaying monsters, you can also purchase items from different vendors. There are a total of 3 unique vendors you can find on your daunting adventures, with each said to offer unique items. These items could include 3 unique potions: Health, Armor, and Stamina potions, all of which happen to come with 3 subvariants. You can also sell the items and amulets you earn through gameplay, and by selling these goods to vendors, you get to earn Ashes, which is the in-game currency that you need anyways if you want to buy consumables and other useful items.

The game allows players to take on various different playstyles, with this launch featuring more than 20 weapons and over 40 amulets you can equip your character with. There are also around 15 different characters you can collect and play with, giving you room to create a customized build to your liking. Everyone starts off with a couple of characters, and you can even switch between them on the fly by swapping them in your inventory!

Not only can you get rare loot from killing bosses, but you also get to show off your skills by climbing the leaderboards, which should offer more rewards for players to earn, if not now then likely in the future. While the game itself is free to play, the leaderboards are not. This means that if you want to qualify for potential play to earn leaderboards, you will need to play on an account holding $ABYS tokens. $ABYS is the game’s deflationary ERC20 token used for participating in leaderboard events, but also for unlocking extra in-game content such as unique weapons, characters, and items. Your score on the leaderboards is determined based on the number of bosses killed, the speed at which the bosses are slain, and more.

NFT holders and Zealy participants were previously able to claim their $ABYS token airdrop earlier this year, and since the token is now live, anyone looking to acquire it can now purchase it through MEXC and Gate.io, as well as through the decentralized exchange QuickSwap, through which you can purchase $ABYS on the Polygon network.

If you happen to be a MintPass/MintKey holder, then this open alpha launch should reward you with unique amulets and rings to equip, as well as potions to help you kickstart your adventure into the treacherous worlds of the Abyss.

You can download the game on PC through the official website for free to start playing. You can choose to play as a guest, or create an account on the official website if you want to login. There are also plans to bring the action RPG over to the Elixir Games Launcher in early January 2025. Eventually, the web3 game should also make its way to Steam, where it currently has an Early Access store page up. The developers have been using Steam to release closed alpha, early access builds for eligible players to playtest. An Epic Games Store release might also happen in the future.

What Future Updates Are Planned for Trinity of the Fabled?

In the future, you can look forward to seeing Trinity of the Fabled receive various updates that provide an even more engaging blockchain gaming experience for free to play players, $ABYS token holders, and NFT owners.

While no specific timeframe has been given in the official Discord announcement, the developers plan to eventually release a new Desert Level to give players a new environment to explore with new enemies and a new boss to slay. Upcoming updates will also bring new characters, weapons, and items to earn, and there are even plans to introduce a dragon riding feature. This means that players will be able to ride on their own dragon in order to explore the game’s overworld and experience unique gameplay in which you will get to level up your mount to unlock various new abilities.

As for the web3 side of things, the team plans on introducing more rewards for holding $ABYS tokens while awarding MintPass/MintKey holders with new in-game characters.
