Treeverse is live again. After quietly returning to the Epic Games Store, iOS, and Android earlier this month, the open-world fantasy MMORPG has reopened its world ahead of its next big chapter. This comes just before the expected rollout of Season 2, now likely to arrive in January.

Treeverse World Is Back Online

Anyone can now download and enter the Treeverse world across PC and mobile devices. The game's return was confirmed through a post on Immutable's X account. With that, players now have the chance to explore, test its systems, and start preparing before S2 goes live.

Since Season 1 ended back in May, the team at Endless Clouds has been focused on content improvements, backend polish, and system reworks. This return to live status signals that things are almost ready for what's being called the biggest milestone in the game's development so far.

Quests Are Live on Immutable Play

Next to the client relaunch, daily quests for Treeverse have gone live on Immutable Play. These quests offer Immutable points, Gems, and other rewards, giving everyone a reason to log in and engage with the game daily.

Some quests are simple tasks, like following updates or watching dev interviews. Others are more involved, asking you to clear dungeons, complete the first quest in Lorwick, and more. It's a good mix of goals that helps you learn the ropes and build up your character while Treeverse gets ready for the next season.

You can check in on new tasks and track your progress directly through Immutable Play. Once Season 2 begins, more quest types are expected to appear.

How We Got Here: Treeverse's Journey

Treeverse has been in the making for several years, with regular monthly updates from Endless Clouds helping the community follow its progress. According to their December dev blog (#48), the journey began in 2021 with the launch of Nftrees, followed later that year by land plots and Treeverse Pixel launch.

A trailer dropped in mid-2022, and by January 2023, the pre-alpha was ready. July 2023 introduced Capsule Heroes, and early 2024 brought both the Treeverse Care Package and a key partnership with Immutable.

The first major playable season came in January 2025 for NFT holders. That was followed in April with the public rollout across Epic, Android, and iOS. In July, the $END token went live, becoming Treeverse's main in-game currency for upcoming content.

What Happened in Season 1

Season 1 ran between April and May 2025 and marked the game's first real test at scale. The campaign featured a large prize pool: 150,000 $IMX, 1.25 million $MON, 375,000 Immutable Gems, 20 ETH, and 2.76% of the total $END token supply.

Roughly 3,000 players were eligible for rewards. After that first run ended, the team shifted focus toward deeper development. With the game now live again across all platforms, anyone can jump in, catch up, and get familiar with the world before Season 2 reshapes it.

Major Features Arriving in Season 2

Season 2 is set to be a huge update. The team has been teasing changes since mid-2025, and many of them have now been detailed in Treeverse's recent updates. One of the biggest upgrades is a full combat rework. Weapons like the Great Sword, Bow, and Sword & Shield are being polished for better feel and balance. Monster AI is also getting overhauled.

You’ll also find a completely redesigned player progression system. Talent trees, crafting stations, resource nodes, quest boards, and shops are all being updated. New challenge rules are being added to dungeons, and bosses will now drop loot with different visuals and effects.

The HUD now includes a new hotbar. Quest tracking has been improved, and both the world and mini maps have been updated. The new wardrobe system lets you customize your appearance, including potential support for Timeless NFTs. Plus, more than 25 pets and mounts are being added to the game.

$END and the New NFT Shop

Season 2 also introduces Treeverse's NFT Shop. Players will be able to use $END tokens to buy exclusive assets. These include cosmetic items, collectibles, and items tied to future campaigns.

Loopify, the game's founder, confirmed that multiple sales and partner drops are in the works, all centered around $END. This will give the token a more active role in Treeverse's in-game economy moving forward.

Behind the Scenes: Engineering and UI

Most of the technical team has been focused on refining core systems like quests and UI. Dungeon doors are now functional in Wolf 1, allowing full dungeon flow testing. Reward chests have been added. Around 30 quest bugs were fixed in recent weeks alone.

The UI has received a full overhaul. Visual updates were applied to shop panels, crafting, skills, party features, and dungeon completion screens. UI audio support and custom layouts for mobile vs PC have also been implemented.

Interaction systems, like moving, mounting, and resource gathering, got special attention during internal playtests. These tweaks aim to clean up rough edges and push the game toward a more stable beta.

Building the World and Expanding the Lore

Endless Clouds has started posting daily content on X that covers new art and lore. These posts highlight the game's setting and tease what's coming next.

Work is underway on new regions like the Kenryos desert. The Slimy Swamp now includes a safe camp for resting. An unannounced area is also being tested through internal mockups. Every zone is getting more polish in time for Season 2.

A visual rework is also in progress, with new effects aimed at improving load times and overall client performance, especially on mobile.

Final Playtest Phase Before Season 2

The team has confirmed that another full progress reset is likely before Treeverse settles into its longer-term release structure. Unlike past resets, players who engage now may unlock items that carry over post-Season 2.

For now, there's no confirmed launch date. But with today being December 31, it's clear Season 2 will most probably happen in January. That makes this current window the best time to explore, test systems, and get comfortable with the game's direction.

Treeverse is live again and available to download on the Epic Games Store, Google Play, and the Apple App Store.
