As Treeverse Season 1 came to a close, the team at Endless Clouds has confirmed that the long-awaited $END token TGE is set for June. While an exact date hasn't yet been revealed, the announcement came with a preview of what's next in Season 2, promising a deeper and more refined gameplay experience.

Season 1 Wraps Up With Major Milestones

According to the team, Season 1 ran from April 27 to May 18, spanning 21 days of active gameplay and community involvement. The game launches its first large-scale reward campaign, drawing over 40,000 players. Key highlights include 36 years' worth of playtime logged, 243 players hitting level 82, and a top dungeon clear at level 277. Online visibility also soared with over 95,000 unique Twitch viewers and millions of impressions across social media.

The reward campaign gave away 2.76% of the total $END supply, with 150,000 $IMX, 1.25 million $MON, 20 ETH, 375,000 Immutable Gems, and 20 Treeverse NFTs. All rewards are scheduled for release during the TGE, with no vesting. The final leaderboard placements will be revealed in early June.

The team has already pushed the servers live, allowing players to keep playing even as Season 1 has ended.

The $END Token: Coming in June

Treeverse's native ERC-20 token, $END, will act as the game's main currency. With a fixed supply of 500 million tokens, $END will be used for buying cosmetic items, unlocking special events, and accessing premium content. While the token was not live during the first season, players received it as part of their campaign rewards, which will be distributed when the TGE goes live.

Sneak Peek Into Season 2: A Deeper Gameplay Core

As stated in the blog post, Season 2 is being designed to bring the game closer to its final gameplay loop and identity. The team is now focused on refining systems like crafting, gathering, combat, and character progression.

On the engineering side, some of the key updates include a revamped inventory UI, a polished skill panel system, and new mechanics like charged abilities tied to specific weapons. Resource gathering tools now have item stats, adding more depth to professions like mining and fishing.

Behind the scenes, there are also major structural improvements. The backend is being upgraded to remove Redis dependencies in favor of Postgres, which should enhance performance. The AI behavior of monsters is also getting a fresh pass, along with bug fixes and enhancements to the dialogue and quest systems.

Visual updates are also underway, with new looks for maps like Lorwick and the upcoming Kenryos and Calbree Forest. These zones will be part of the planned Beta release later this year.

Treeverse Beta: Finalizing the Game's Foundation

Beta will not just be another season. It's being built to reflect the game's true identity. According to the team, the goal is to have a miniature but complete experience. The combat is being reworked to make each weapon feel different. Talent trees will play a major role, and players will gain clear progression through skilling systems tied to gathering and crafting.

New microtransaction systems, social tools like emotes and stickers, and fun extras like pets and mounts are also in the pipeline.

With recent new hires, including two engineers and a sound designer, the team plans to increase development speed and ship updates more consistently.
