A surprising shift in active gamers puts Farmer's world at the top of the games chart, while Cross the Ages make a surprise burst as well, moving into the top 10 for most traded NFT collections this past week! Read on for more updates from web3 games and NFT collections this week!
Overall numbers for the top 10 web3 games by active players remains strong. We still have all of the top 10 showing more than 50k active players every week, which has been a solid trend for a number of weeks now and points towards a general, upwards trajectory for web3 gaming.
In specific gaming news, we have quite a bit of play and earn options available. Champions Arena, from Gala Games, went live this week, letting everyone play for free, while offering NFT owners a chance to earn tokens from their PvP leaderboard.
On top of that there are a number of alpha play and earn opportunities as well. Players can complete quests in the Boss Fighters community tournament over the next three weekends, try their hand in Aradena Battlegrounds, earn Alpha Chests by playing Citizen Conflict, and win tokens and NFT in the next open beta phase for Tearing Spaces!
We also have new updates from both Rogue Nation and Everseed.
And for those with creative talents or even just a willingness to give it a try, web3 gaming offers numerous opportunities to design game elements. We talk about a few of these in our recent Design and Earn article, but if you just start looking around at web3 games in development, there are all sorts of creative contests.
Read on for a look at the most active web3 games and NFT projects for the week. And be sure to keep an eye on our website and Twitter feed for the latest developments in the web3 gaming space!

A big move this week as Farmer's World takes the top post in active players! And again, it surprises me that people still play this game as there haven't been any updates on their social media since May of 2022! But we still see plenty of NFT trading activity on Atomic Hub for the game, so I guess they have something going on!
Otherwise we have the usual shuffling of spots, with an slight, overall downtrend this week in player activity.

Another huge surprise this week as Cross the Ages, a strategic, trading card game, jumps into our charts with over 3 million in trading volume! This number is bolstered by a single card sale for 130k, and a pack sale this past week. But that still factors out to over $2,000 spent per active player, which seems a bit high. Interestingly, Gods Unchained took a huge hit in trading volume this week (-95%!), making me wonder if there is some correlation.
In the world of non-gaming NFTs, the Bored Apes and Mutant Apes are still on top, but almost all NFT collections in the top 20 saw major decreases in trading volume. This has been a general trend over the past few months, but this past week saw larger than usual drops in activity.
Azuki has lost much of the momentum they had from a couple of weeks ago. But perhaps their upcoming partnership with Patrick Mahomes (of NFL fame) will bring some renewed interest to their collection!
