Tokyo Beast $1 Million Gaming Championship Goes Live on June 21

The wait is almost over. Tokyo Beast's $1M Gaming Championship is set to begin this Saturday, June 21. This is the game's biggest tournament so far, and it's bringing huge prizes with it.

The main prize for the tournament winner is now worth around $14,500. That's a huge jump from the first championship last week, where the top prize was $3,500. On top of that, Tokyo Beast is adding $34,500 to the payout pools in both BASE and TRIALS modes through the HIT5 system. This means more chances to win big, even if you're not in the top spot.

Where and When It Happens

The championship will kick off at 7:00 PM PST on June 21. Before that, players and viewers can place bets during the betting window, which runs from 12:00 AM to 12:59 PM PST on the same day. The whole event will be streamed live with commentary on the official Tokyo Beast Twitch channel at twitch.tv/tokyobeast_en.

If you're just watching, you can still take part by placing predictions. Use "CHAMPIONSHIP CHIPs" to bet on outcomes. Normally you get one chip per day, but during the championship week, you'll get two per day, up to 12 in total. That means twice the chances to win rewards just by betting.

From March to Now: A Timeline of Events

Tokyo Beast first announced the $1M Gaming Championship in March 2025. Since then, the game has rolled out a series of events to build up to this point.

In April, Tokyo Beast ran a closed beta for 200 players. The prize pool for that event was $20,000 in TGT, the game's native token. The winner got $10,000, and the rest was split among other players and fans who made correct match predictions.

Then in early June, the team launched a Special Early Access event for 3,000 selected players. This gave them a chance to try the 4v4 "Matchup" mode before the game's global release. The event also had a $160,000 prize pool, split across daily lottery rewards. Players earned entries by logging in, playing matches, and completing missions. Some also won extra rewards by posting about their wins on social media.

Official Launch and First Championship

Tokyo Beast officially launched on June 8. Built on Immutable, the game is now available globally. To celebrate, the dev team held the first CHAMPIONSHIP tournament on June 14. The top player won around $3,500 in TGT. But even more importantly, everyone who plays in both the June 14 and June 21 tournaments will get a bonus worth $700 in tokens.

So if you competed last week and are playing again this Saturday, you've already locked in $700. That's in addition to any prize you might win based on your final ranking.

What Is Tokyo Beast?

Tokyo Beast is a futuristic battle game set in Tokyo in the year 2124. Players collect and upgrade android fighters called BEASTs. These are digital characters used in 3D auto-battles that combine strategy with flashy action.

The game has two main parts. In BASE mode, players manage their BEASTs, breed new ones, and stake TGT tokens. In TRIALS mode, they send their teams into combat. Matches happen in real time, and the outcome is decided by team strength and smart planning.

The game also supports prediction. You can watch matches and bet on the outcome using TGT or special betting chips earned in-game. It's free to play, and you don't need a crypto wallet to join.

TGT is the main token in the Tokyo Beast world. You use it to upgrade fighters, stake for rewards, bet on matches, and enter tournaments. The token officially launched in May, just before the global release. The team also released 500 VIP NFTs that give special benefits like early access, exclusive drops, and priority for airdrops.

What to Expect This Weekend

The $1M Gaming Championship is packed with rewards. The champion will take home around $14,500. Second place gets about $5,200. Players who finish in the top 8 or top 20 will also receive prizes, with the minimum being $700. All payouts are made in unclaimed TGT based on a value of $0.046 per token. The actual amount may change based on the market rate.

There's also an extra $34,500 added to the HIT5 payout pools in both TRIALS and BASE, giving players even more chances to earn. This makes it the most rewarding tournament the game has run so far.
