Web3-powered streaming platform Thousands has announced the launch of their first metagame product, Meta Oracle, to bring micro-outcome-forecasting elements to Wildcard, allowing spectators to put their knowledge to the test and make predictions to earn rewards.
What Is Meta Oracle?
Meta Oracle is Thousands’ first metagame product designed to give fans of Wildcard a fresh way to interact with the competitive free to play title.
Instead of passively watching, participants get to make bite-sized predictions on specific game-related changes, such as a player’s stat line or some particular in-game event, by staking on the outcome they believe will happen, giving fans a new way to engage with the web2 game while spectating intense matches.
As you successfully make the correct forecasts, you’re able to increase your Insight Score. The more accurate your predictions are, the better your Insight Score should be, with the top forecasters that manage to climb up the Insight leaderboards getting to earn recognition and real rewards that reflect their valuable input into the ecosystem.
How Does Meta Oracle Work?
Meta Oracle is reminiscent of fantasy sports, but with a web3 twist. Each proper forecast of a knockout, capture, and play is said to contribute to your score, turning Wildcard Exhibition matches into opportunities to engage strategically and earn rewards without even playing the third-person card-based MOBA.
In the first version of this metagame product, focused particularly on Wildcard, the web3 gaming community can watch live Wildcard matches directly through the streaming platform Thousands.tv. While spectating and enjoying what is hopefully a strategically exciting match with high-level plays, you get to make forecasts on various specific moments. Based on this V1 release, it seems the forecasts are not specific to each match. Instead, there are basically global forecasts related to the developer’s balancing changes and to how players use certain characters and abilities. Watching live games, and playing matches yourself, will certainly help you make your calls on the available voting options. As you accurately make the right calls, you get to earn Insight to increase your Insight Score, as well as $WC tokens from each forecast’s prize pool, though just participating seems to be enough to win some tokens. While detailed info on the Insight scoring system will be revealed later on, what we do already know is that earning Insight could allow you to unlock various higher-tier rewards in the future, which are said to be powered by the $WC token. Live leaderboard tracking is included, and the platform’s transparent attribution system via Thousands’ protocol ensures that all rewards are fairly and openly tracked and distributed.
This is just the first iteration: Meta Oracle V1 sets the foundation for a dynamic, evolving metagame ecosystem. The team promises continual development with every match, season, and strategic update, but exact details on what their roadmap is has not been revealed at the time of writing.

How to Predict to Earn With Meta Oracle on Thousands.tv
If you’re interested in diving into Meta Oracle and earning from predictions based on your knowledge of Wildcard, you can get started by visiting the forecasts page on Thousands.tv. From there, you will have to connect your crypto wallet to the Base network in order to gain access to the streaming platform and to the available Forecasts.
For the initial launch of this system, there are 4 different Forecasts to make calls on and potentially earn $WC tokens from:
- Will the play rate of the Guardian summons increase or decrease? (Expires on August 27; earn up to 660k $WC)
- Will Ragna's play rate increase or decrease? (Expires on August 26; earn up to 540k $WC)
- Will Bolgar's total damage increase or decrease? (Expires on August 25; earn up to 530k $WC)
- Based on the game mode balance changes will the matches be shorter or longer? (Expires on August 26; earn up to 550k $WC)
Each Forecast has its own dedicated page from which you can make a call on using Credits. Credits is the native platform currency of Thousands.tv used for making purchases, interacting in livestreams, and participating in Forecasts. You will have to buy Credits through the platform by clicking on the Credits icon in the top right corner to see the list of available bundles. There is currently a limited time, exclusive pre-season Credits sale going on right now that gives you more Credits on your purchase than is standard. You can buy using a credit card or in USDC on Base, with the cheapest option available getting you 1320 (normally 1200) Credits for $9.99. There are 4 more options next to that one, going all the way to a whopping price tag of $1449.99 for 291.5k Credits.
While you can make calls on Forecasts for free, you will likely want to wager some Credits if you want to possibly win a bigger share of token rewards. According to an X reply from the Thousands team to a community member, everyone is awarded base rewards just for participating, while those who make the right call are given a bonus.
About Thousands
Thousands is a blockchain-powered streaming platform and crypto-native infrastructure that combines live game broadcasting with blockchain technology to enhance creator incentives and community-driven engagement in order to adequately reward both viewers and streamers. It was announced back in October 2024 as a new streaming platform for web3 esports, and as such also serves as the external crypto side of its flagship web2 game Wildcard, keeping on-chain rewards and blockchain features on the platform and outside of the game itself to ensure the esports title can launch on Steam as a quality PvP title that can garner mass appeal.
This year, Wildcard and Thousands announced a $9m fundraise, while this month marked the start of Wildcard’s quest-based Community Rewards Program and the Road to DreamHack.
