The Sandbox Supersuit Is This Month’s Exclusive Reward for Avatar Owners

The Sandbox has announced the September edition of its monthly rewards for Avatar owners: an exclusive Supersuit!

How to Claim

All Avatar holders have until September 30th, 3 PM UTC to claim their cosmetic rewards. However, you must have been an Avatar owner before August 28th, 3 PM UTC, as that is when the snapshot for this month’s rewards took place. Specifically, Avatar owners from The Sandbox official collection are eligible if they’ve been a holder before the snapshot, and so are Avatar holders from bridged collections. The owners of bridged collections though must have logged in to their accounts within the last 24 months to be eligible. Bridged collections consist of Avatars representing many different partnered web3 projects, including Rumble Kong League, Mocaverse, Deadfellaz, BAYC, Habbo, Voxies, Moonbirds, Meebits, Cool Cats, and more.

Once you claim the full Supersuit set, you’re ready to take part in this month’s challenge. The goal is to basically post a screenshot of you wearing this suit in any metaverse experience for a reward of 5 $SAND tokens. In the requirements, it’s specifically stated that you need to own the full Supersuit set, which consists of the following: The Hero’s Clown, Heroic Chestplate with Cape, Heroic Empowered Leggings, and Heroic Valiant Sleeves. You can post your screenshot in this Event page while making sure you have the ‘#’ embedded in the Posting Tool, as that is what the team uses to track the image. Last but not least, only accounts that have passed the KYC process can actually take part in this challenge.

Aside from this, there doesn’t seem to be any utility involved (maybe for now?), but is simply a cosmetic reward that fans of hero-themed assets may enjoy wearing in the metaverse, so if you’re an eligible Avatar owner, don’t forget to claim this month’s rewards while you still can, and get a bit of $SAND along the way for doing an easy task.

Experiences of the Week: 10K $SAND Up for Grabs!

Following the announcement of exclusive monthly rewards, The Sandbox team followed it up with news of their featured Experiences of the Week. By competing in the experiences listed in this official thread on X, you have a chance of becoming eligible to win a share of a 10k $SAND prize pool. You don’t need to own an Avatar to participate, as this is a free to play blockchain gaming event that only requires having an account in this voxel-based metaverse.

The experiences featuring play to earn rewards include Recorder, Tales of Pixlton, Random Jumping Simulator, and Kowloon Walled City 2: Walled City Rhapsody.

Recorder is a single-player horror experience featuring 6 stages of first-person gameplay to progress through. It was the winner of the Backrooms Game Jam last year, so if you like games inspired by the Backrooms, then you’ll probably like searching for clues in the game’s first stage. Each stage takes place in a different map and includes slightly different puzzle-solving gameplay, but all overall revolve around escaping various creepy environments inhabited by horrors of the dark.

Tales of Pixlton is also a single-player experience, but one that takes place in a quiet little town where nothing is as it actually seems. Complete strange quests as you uncover unusual stories from an interesting cast of characters.

For a less sinister experience, you can look forward to playing Random Jumping Simulator, a colorful multiplayer platformer where you go from a lower island to a higher one using platforms that will surprise you at every jump. What does that mean? Well, there are unpredictable platforms that can damage you, heal you, send you backwards or forwards, or even destroy other platforms close by, and more, making each new jump an interesting one.

Kowloon Walled City 2: Walled City Rhapsody is a single-player sci-fi detective game. Set in Hong Kong in the year 2169, players explore a futuristic city in an effort to stop some secret rituals while enjoying action-adventure web3 gaming.
