The Sandbox has announced a new Game Jam event, City Jam: Paris. It invites everyone to showcase their skills by recreating Parisian landmarks and neighborhoods. Creators have the chance to win part of the 30k SAND prize pool and have their works featured on a Paris Estate.
City Jam: Paris is special for The Sandbox, as Paris hosts one of their HQs and is a city rich in history and culture. Creators can bring the Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame Cathedral, and other iconic landmarks to life on the platform. This event encourages all artists to capture the unique vibe of Parisian neighborhoods, from the artsy Montmartre to the historic charm of Le Marais.
The competition kicked off on June 7th, and submissions are open until June 27th. After that, public voting will take place, followed by a DAO vote to determine the winners. The top nine entries will receive 3,000 SAND each and be featured on the Paris Estate. Those placing 10th to 15th will receive 500 SAND and be hosted on The Sandbox's LANDs.
Creators are encouraged to use The Sandbox's no-code Game Maker software to build their games and can also team up with talented artists to design custom assets.
Some of the key dates include a live AMA session on June 12th to discuss the City Jam and the final announcement of winners on July 26th. Creators must ensure that their entries follow the specified rules, such as using the latest Game Maker software version and keeping their games within a 1x1 size.
To join the event, participants must submit their games through The Sandbox's Game Maker Gallery or directly on the map. They should also join the Creators Forum to stay updated and seek help from experienced staff and creators. The forum will also serve as a platform for public voting and discussion.
The City Jam: Paris in The Sandbox offers a unique chance to celebrate Parisian culture and architecture in the metaverse. For more info, check out the official post.
