The Sandbox has announced the start of a new VoxEdit contest geared towards football/soccer fans: Sosyal Lig Arena.
Also referred to as the “Future of Football” contest, the goal (no pun intended) of this competition is to image what the future of football might look like in the metaverse using the VoxEdit tool. This means that you can create “futuristic football players, stadiums, equipment, and anything else you can imagine.” Submissions close on October 28th at 11:59 PM UTC.
While working on your submission, it’s important to keep in mind the restrictions set in place, as assets are supposed to fit in the “Exhibition Venue” of the land that will feature art made for this contest. The dimensions are as follows:
The top 10 submissions will get to walk away with a share of the 15k $SAND prize pool, with the winner taking 6000 $SAND tokens. Finishing 2nd place is rewarded with 3500 $SAND, while 3rd place gets 2000 $SAND, and the remaining spots are awarded with 500 $SAND tokens each. All of the prizes will be sent on the Polygon network.
As has been the case with recent VoxEdit contests, this one too does require having KYC verification in order to be able to rank in the top 5. Verified creators are exempted from this. In order to be a verified creator, you need to have taken part in 5 contests while ranking in the top 10 in one of them. Another way of becoming a verified creator is to have a studio linked with a GMF (Game Maker Fund) account. Places 6th to 10th however do not require verification.
If this competition’s theme is not your cup of tea, then you may want to check out the Autumn Vibes VoxEdit contest, for which you still have time to submit your asset, and even comes with a category for beginners. Submissions for this seasonal competition close on October 22nd at 11:59 PM UTC.
