The Mastercard Artist Accelerator Program has revealed that they are set to launch 5 new singles as NFTs from 5 singers this month during the program’s showcase on Thursday, July 27 at 3 PM ET.
The new singles will be livestreamed at the aforementioned time and will give everyone the opportunity of listening to AI-driven singles produced during the past couple of months as part of the program. These soon-to-launch tracks were made with AI Music Studio, developed by WarpSound, a generative AI music technologies company.
As the showcase takes place, users will have a chance of claiming each new song as an NFT on the OneOf Marketplace. The artists behind these AI-based tracks include London-based R&B soul singer Young Athena, Nigerian R&B and afrobeat record producer & songwriter LeriQ, American-Jamaican songstress Cocoa Sarai, Vietnamese American pop-artist Emliy Vu, and Venezuela pop singer, songwriter & producer, Manu Manzo.
Back in April this year, interested users were able to claim free Music Pass NFTs that gave access to educational material and AI-powered music tools. According to the latest announcement, over 100k people minted the limited-edition NFT, making the program a community-focused one through which artists were able to learn how to build their brand using Web3.
Raja Rajamannar, the Chief Marketing and Communications Officer of Mastercard, said the following:
“We’ve seen how emerging technology can push creativity to new heights and give us opportunities to connect with people in exciting ways. Throughout this program, these artists have explored an entirely new space that will have lasting impact on the music industry and we’re thrilled that we were a part of their journey.”
