A new season begins in The Machines Arena -- the first season in fact! This inaugural beta season allows players to earn exclusive skins, that can also be minted to NFTs (at a later date)!
The first round of seasonal content arrives in The Machines Arena. Beginning on July 11th (1pm UTC), beta season one starts. This season allows players to collect beta and loyalty rewards, including exclusive game skins!
Four different skins are available as rewards for playing in beta season one, each one for a specific game character -- Mercenary for Zulu, Urban Commando for XE, Desert Ranger for Tesla, and Demo for Daye. XE is a new hero that will be released when the season starts. Players unlock a new skin every 25 levels they gain during the beta. Players can earn experience points by playing Quick Play PvP or the Death Run PvE scenario
These beta skins will only be available in-game at first. But the team plans to implement a minting feature in the future, allowing unlocked skins to be minted and published as NFTs on the Ronin network.
There will also be skins given out as special loyalty rewards. These rewards will be given to people who played before season one, those flagged as 'OG', the winners from the 2021 tournament, and for content creators.
The Machines Arena is available through the Epic Games launcher. You will need a code to download and play the beta. If you don't already have one, keep an eye on the social channels for The Machines Arena, as they plan to have a number of giveaways once the beta season launches.
The Machines Arena is a quick-paced, action-packed, top down, MOBA game pitting two teams of four players against each other in a variety of game modes. Wielding weapons such as guns, lasers, and flamethrowers, players fight in matches that typically last 5-10 minutes. The Machines Arena offers ten characters to choose from, with an assortment of powers, strengths, and weaknesses. Characters are classed as tank, support, and assault. Working together with your team is crucial for success.
The Machines Arena was not originally planned as a blockchain game. But since their first beta release they have expanded their plans. And a recently announced partnership with Sky Mavis, allows them to introduce digital collectibles that can be minted to the Ronin chain!
The game is still in early development, but already boasts a very playable game.
