The 'LoveITDetroit' Exhibit-Installation hosts a replica in the Metaverse

Made in Italy Celebration

The 'LoveITDetroit' Exhibit-Installation is now available in the Metaverse. The Italian consulate launched the exhibit installation in Detroit to celebrate Made in Italy in the US. It was also to celebrate the VI edition of the Italian Design Day to promote Italian design in the country.

It was curated by Palomba Serafini Associati and is located at 1001 Woodward Avenue in the bedrock space, and it hosts Italian brands from food, automotive, fashion, and other sectors of Italian creativity.

Allegra Baistrocchi, the Italian consul in Detroit, said, 

"It is a vibrant, beautiful city, with a vast cultural offer. In this context, we wanted to create a great container to promote the Italian spirit. The design will be the tool with which the consulate will build more bridges with the city.

The virtual space of 'LoveITDetroit' Exhibit-Installation, created by Wedoo, was also launched on September 7. It is a 'twin' of the physical installation, and users can enjoy the immersive experience and interact with the objects in it.

The Virtual Space Will Host Italian-Made Products

The Metaverse is accessible through the official website of LoveITDetroit. According to the architect and designer Roberto Palomba, the installation is "a sort of Italian village, with the elements of the arch, the wall, the avenue, the garden, and the 'piazza' at the center." Within the space are objects and projects of Italian creativity, such as Technogym wellness machines, Brembo brakes, Armani clothes, designs, furnishing objects, and so on. The architect believes that the installation is capable of winning the Compasso dÓro Award.

Present at the event include Simonetta di Pippo, a former UN director; Professor Ruben Abbattista, co-founder and vice president of the Circolo del Design di Torino; Silvio Angori, the CEO of Pininfarina; astronaut Roberto Vittori; architect Carlo Ratti; and the architect Luisa Bocchietto.
