Blockchain game publisher and ecosystem Moku has officially launched the first ever Discord native web3 wallet for the Ronin network: Moku Pouch, now live in phase 1, with more features to be added in the future.
The Moku Pouch serves as the gateway to the Mokuverse, meaning you will need to use this wallet in order to access upcoming web3 games and apps set to release this year in this on-chain ecosystem that is designed to “live directly within Discord.”
According to the official announcement, this wallet is set to consist of a variety of features spread across 2 different tiers: Basic and Premium.
Basic features include the capability to make on-chain actions in the popular social platform, access upcoming games within the web3 ecosystem, and the ability to link your Ronin wallet. This means that if you want to play future titles such as Super Battle Moki or The Grand Arena, you will have to create this wallet.
When making on-chain transactions, you won’t need to use any browser extensions at all, as everything is designed to work within Discord, making for an accessible and user-friendly experience that doesn’t require leaving your favorite social app. Thanks to Ronin wallet integration, you can actually link your existing Ronin wallet with this new one. By doing so, the NFTs you have in your Ronin wallet will actually be usable across various games and blockchain-powered experiences, without needing to directly connect your wallet to the dApp you’d like to use.
As for Premium features, only one has been revealed so far, and it’s a good one: you can now automate Axie Infinity’s Atia Blessing! No need to manually do it anymore, as you can now simply use this wallet to make the prayer for you, ensuring you continue to keep your streak intact. You can automate blessings for up to 25 wallets and even receive real-time updates via DMs. Of course, given that this is labelled as a Premium feature, it’s actually not free to use. Well, it is if you’re already a Moki Genesis NFT holder, but if not, then you only need to pay 1 $RON per month to unlock the automation feature, as well as have enough to cover gas fees. According to the Medium post, it looks like everyone needs to have at least 0.5 $RON in their Pouch to use the feature.
The Moki Genesis collection is a set of 8888 NFTs that not only unlock access to the existing Premium feature, but also give you bonuses to earn more points at the Moku HQ questing platform, alongside first access to playtests, and more benefits. If you want to get one, you can do so through the Mavis Market, where the floor price is 99.9 $RON (~$181) at the time of writing.
If you want to set up your own Pouch, you can do so by heading to Moku’s official Discord server and clicking on the “Get Started” button in the #moku-pouch channel. Simply follow the instructions to allow the Pouch bot to send you direct messages and successfully create your wallet. You can find your Pouch wallet address from DMs with the bot if you ever want to send $RON tokens to it by using a wallet from the Ronin browser extension or mobile app.
To withdraw $RON, you will need to link your Ronin wallet, which can be done through the browser-based dashboard accessed by clicking on the “Manage Pouch” button in the DM with the official bot. Never share the Pouch dashboard URL link with anyone. Linking your wallet is also important for Moki Genesis NFT holders who want to automate Atia’s Blessing for free. At the time of writing, creating Pouches has been disabled due to the wallet getting flagged by Discord’s Anti-Spam system, so you may have to wait for a couple of days before you can hop in. Keep an eye on announcements in their official Discord server to find out when the creation process will be back online.
In the future, the team plans on integrating other wallets and chains, while introducing more automations for on-chain check-in systems across the Ronin ecosystem. There are also plans to make it possible to send and receive $RON tokens to other Discord users just by using the @ mention function. We could even see Pouch integrated into other Ronin-related Discord servers. You can also look forward to playing Super Battle Moki, Grand Arena, and more as Discord games, while possibly even having opportunities to earn $RON through various contests and community events.
