Our team tracked the most active blockchain games on Ethereum and sorted out the standout play-to-earn titles still shipping real updates and pulling in real players this May 2026. From browser-based farms to sci-fi card duels, these five crypto games prove the network is anything but quiet.

5. Pixels

Pixels is a free-to-play, browser-based pixel-art MMO that blends farming, social simulation, and crafting in the open world of Terra Villa.

The daily loop centers on farm management, resource gathering, fishing, animal breeding, and quests, with an energy system that caps daily activity across roughly fifteen professions. Each profession levels independently and unlocks new blueprints.

Faction warfare arrived in Chapter 3: Bountyfall, where three Unions compete over Hearths for a seasonal prize pool. The economy runs on the on-chain PIXEL token alongside in-game Coins, with NFT Farm Land plots capped at 5,000 properties that grant production and crafting bonuses.

The Tier 5 update (April 15, 2026) added nine new industries and 105 new recipes — the biggest crafting expansion to date.

4. The Sandbox

The Sandbox is a community-driven voxel metaverse on Ethereum and Polygon, now playable directly in the browser as of Season 7, alongside Windows and macOS.

At its core, the platform is about user-generated content. Players can visit Experiences built on parcels of LAND or create their own using two no-code desktop tools:

  • VoxEdit for voxel modeling and animation
  • Game Maker for visual scripting and building full Experiences

The economy revolves around three asset classes: SAND, LAND, and ASSETS, with the Marketplace running on Polygon for low transaction costs.

The Sandbox NEXT playtest launched on March 26, 2026 as a standalone mobile battle royale in Unreal Engine, featuring 20-player matches and over 56 branded NFT collections usable as gear.

3. Parallel TCG

Parallel TCG is a sci-fi trading card game with cards on Ethereum mainnet and its Sanctuary marketplace on Base, playable across PC, Steam, Epic, iOS, and Android.

The turn-based strategy is built around five factions, each anchored by a Paragon leader card with a continuous passive ability that can also be deployed once.

Players compete through:

  • Ranked ladder seasons
  • Casual QuickPlay matches
  • Cross-faction Draft Mode (30-card deck, two factions, seven-win or three-loss runs)

Cards are 3D-rendered ERC-1155 NFTs from Common through Legendary, with collectible variants like Prime Variants, Perfect Loops, and one-of-one Masterpieces.

A full non-NFT digital version is also available for players who prefer to skip blockchain entirely.

Parallel completed its free global mobile launch on April 27, 2026.

2. Sunflower Land

Sunflower Land is a free-to-play, browser-based farming MMO that runs primarily on Polygon, with its $FLOWER token bridging across Base, Ethereum, and Ronin.

Players start with seeds and crops, then progressively unlock:

  • Fishing
  • Animal husbandry
  • Flower cross-breeding
  • Oil extraction
  • Potion crafting

Content ships in quarterly Chapters with seven-day in-game seasons introducing new crops and weather events like blood moons and locust plagues. Land expansion opens new regions, including Volcano Island.

Chapter 11 introduced a full Social System and Co-op Farming, allowing players to visit friends’ farms to build monuments, cook meals, and participate in the Great Cleanup mechanic.

The deflationary economy spans the $FLOWER token, Farm Collectibles, Bumpkin Wearables, and Bud NFTs.

A new Chapter launched on May 4, 2026.

1. Rollercoin

Rollercoin is a long-running browser-based crypto mining simulator on Ethereum and four other chains, with an Android APK live and Google Play and iOS releases planned for 2026.

Players build a virtual mining data center, accumulating hash power (GH/s) by filling racks with virtual miners and playing a rotating set of more than ten short, skill-based mini-games.

Roughly every ten minutes, the platform distributes a fixed block share for each supported cryptocurrency, split among active miners based on contributed power.

The economy runs on RollerToken (capped at 21 million) used to acquire miners, racks, batteries, and upgrades, alongside the season-resetting Roller Season Token.

Dev Diaries Vol. 17 detailed a lootbox overhaul and a new Bonus Power feature.
