Lindt USA, the American subsidiary of Swiss chocolatier Lindt, has launched a 3D virtual store in partnership with the virtual e-commerce platform ByondXR. Announced on November 17th, the delightful outlet marks the premium chocolate brand's first venture into the metaverse.
Once you step into the virtual store, you will be greeted by the avatar of Ann Czaja, one of the legendary Lindt Master Chocolatiers. She will act as your 'in-store' guide, helping you to interact with the brand and shop for gifts seamlessly.
Just like a physical one, there are various chocolates on display in the virtual outlet. This includes boxes of Lindt chocolates, bars, truffles, and even a chocolate fountain in the middle of the store.
Before you start grabbing any confectionery, make sure to stop by the warm and cozy living room, where you can play a memory game to win a shopping discount. Customers can pick their favorite chocolates and add them to the cart before checking out on a separate page.
Besides that, there's an educational spot called The Chocolate Lab, where visitors can learn more about Lindt's chocolate-making process. Coupled with cutting-edge technology, the metaverse store surely offers an immersive experience to all chocolate lovers this holiday season.
"Here at Lindt USA, we are delighted to offer customers this cutting-edge retail experience just in time for the holidays," said Patrick Diggelmann, Vice President of Retail and E-Commerce at Lindt USA. "While there is no experience quite like entering one of our beautiful Lindt retail stores in person, our virtual store is a close second. We're truly delighted to show it off."
"Developing Lindt Chocolate's first-ever virtual store has been a great honor to us. We want brands from any industry to be able to showcase their products through virtual stores and not only take a step towards innovation but be able to engage with each and every one of their consumers on a new level," said Noam Levavi, CEO and Co-Founder of ByondXR.
