Storm Warfare, a WW2-based collectible card game developed by Janus Interactive Studio and incubated by Seedify, is now set to officially release in early May on the Epic Games Store, with the game's official page on the platform now live with the option to wishlist ahead of launch.

Release Details

This launch will mark the first full version of the Web3 title. Up to now, the trading card game has undergone various alpha and beta stages in which the team garnered feedback from the community to help them bring a polished release to the Fortnite creator’s marketplace. While the announcement on Twitter/X states that this release represents the full version, the official store page still seems to refer to this as an early access game at the time of writing.

Anyone interested can now wishlist the free-to-play title to help it gain more visibility on the store while notifying you when the game becomes available for download. According to the store page, players will be able to enjoy tactical card gameplay on Windows and Mac, choosing varied cards from 5 different factions in order to create a powerful 30-card deck consisting of 4 types of cards: Unit, Event, Hero and Weapon cards. You’ll need at least Windows 7 64-bit or macOS 10.13 to play.

A starter deck of 150 free cards will be available for all players to use while battling on historically-accurate battleboards and competing in various tournaments.

Operation Overlord Content Pack

The full release will mark the launch of the game’s first content pack: Operation Overlord. In comparison to the last beta version, this update will introduce 70 new cards to use in battle, among which are 5 Legendary Hero cards, which are special cards resembling known figures from World War II. Each new Legendary Hero card represents one of the 5 nations available in the game. This means that the new Legendary Hero cards include US Tank Commander Ruben Rivers, German tactician Fedor von Bock, aviator of the British forces Allen Ward, Japanese Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto, and Hero of the Soviet Union, Dmitry Lavrinenko.

Next to the new cards, this pack also introduces 2 new battleboards: Kursk and Midway, alongside 2 unique Cardbacks.
