Star Atlas Ushers in a New Era with the Last Pre-Alpha Patch

Star Atlas has released its final patch (R2.1.9) before the Showroom R2.2 update. This marks a pivotal moment, transitioning from the closed pre-alpha stage to an open alpha phase. It heralds exciting times ahead in Star Atlas, powered by Unreal Engine 5.

A Brand-New Volant Station in Star Atlas

At Volant Station, the atmosphere buzzes with new energy. The station has undergone a major upgrade to accommodate the high-speed combat racing mode. This addition is crucial for the game, offering players an immersive racing experience. With an expanded racing track, new in-road elements, and a pit stop area, the thrill of in-game racing is taken to new heights. 

Customization at its Best: Hangar Module and Crewmember Studio

Star Atlas also reaffirms its dedication to personalization by introducing the Hangar Module. Here, players can tailor their ships to their liking, enhancing both combat and racing experiences. This sets the stage for more sophisticated builds in the new Showroom. Also, the Crewmember Studio allows for various avatar customization, including different species like the Mierese character. 

A New Combat Dimension: The 3rd Person Shooter Arena

With that, Star Atlas has expanded its gameplay with the 3rd Person Shooter Arena. This game focuses on ground fighting, requiring players to master multiple weaponry and movement skills. It's a vital preparation for the multiplayer mode in R2.2, adding a new layer of skill development.

Techy Upgrades for Enhanced Gameplay

The latest patch also brings a host of technological enhancements. These include performance optimization, the integration of DLSS technology, and improvements in visual and sound effects. Architectural upgrades, like the fully testable turret station on the Floydliner and enriched space dogfight maps, are key in paving the way for R2.2.
