Previously known as Scavenger Hunt, it’s been recently announced that Escape Velocity, the movement testing grounds for Star Atlas: Golden Era (SAGE), will become officially playable on Wednesday, April 26th.

While the announcement tweet didn’t reveal much information, they did tease that players will be able to find loot while testing out real-time, on-chain movement mechanics. They also did reveal more details in their latest Town Hall event in the game’s official Discord server, where the community could learn more about future important things in store for Star Atlas while also chiming in and asking various questions. Throughout the discussion, it was revealed that in order to play Escape Velocity, you’ll need to have at least 1000 ATLAS tokens on the wallet you’ll be using to connect to the website. Players need to lock in at least that amount of tokens in order to be able to spawn in 1 ship to use for testing out movement. It seems these tokens won’t be consumed, as there will be an option to withdraw them back to your wallet, but doing so will also despawn your ship, meaning you won’t be able to continue playing until you decide to deposit the required amount again.

The loot that players will be able to find has also been revealed. They’re split into multiple tiers, with items in the Copper tier being the easiest ones you can find. The supply of these items is also limited, while the probabilities of finding them are subject to change. You can check out the full loot table in the image down below.
