Star Atlas Launches the Golden Carnival on Solana with a $4 Million Lootfest

Star Atlas has unveiled its largest event yet, the Golden Carnival, which runs from November 1, 2024, to February 21, 2025, and promises $4 million in rewards. Players can join by crafting or purchasing Golden Tickets to participate in weekly loot drops, where they’ll have chances to win rare in-game assets and collectibles. The carnival, held within the game’s metaverse, invites players to strategize as they deploy their Golden Tickets over 16 weeks of prize drops.

An Immersive Lootfest for Star Atlas Fans

The Golden Carnival takes place in Galia, a key area within Star Atlas, bringing together players eager to win prizes by collecting and using Golden Tickets. The tickets can be crafted in Star Atlas: Golden Era or acquired from other players on the Galactic Marketplace. Every week, players enter their tickets into loot drops via Hedgehog, with prize draws happening every Friday on Star Atlas' Discord.

Players also get a choice between crafting tickets in SAGE Labs, using resources like titanium, toolkits, and particle accelerators, or simply purchasing tickets on the marketplace. This dual approach allows both dedicated crafters and strategic buyers to participate, adding an element of choice and flexibility.

Golden Carnival Loot Roadmap

The carnival is structured around a detailed 16-week roadmap with varied prize tiers, designed to maintain engagement across several phases. The breakdown includes:

• 12 Regular Weeks: Each regular week offers $200,000 in prizes, sponsored by different in-game manufacturers.
• 3 Mega Weeks: These weeks feature $400,000 prize pools, doubling the regular loot amount.
• Mystery Week: The final week, shrouded in suspense, will offer a grand prize with no pre-set value, encouraging players to reserve their tickets for a possible big win.

Players must decide when to submit their tickets, with full visibility on the number of tickets already submitted for each week’s loot drop. This transparency adds a layer of strategy, as players can adjust their entries up to five minutes before each drop, enhancing the excitement of the carnival.

Getting and Using Golden Tickets

Golden Tickets are at the heart of the Golden Carnival. Players have two options to obtain Golden Tickets for the Golden Carnival. 

For those who enjoy resource gathering, crafting tickets in SAGE Labs provides an immersive experience. By using resources such as titanium, electronics, and radiation absorbers, players can create tickets and participate in the crafting economy. 

Alternatively, players who prefer not to gather resources can simply purchase tickets from other players on the Galactic Marketplace, enabling them to join the carnival without the need for crafting.

With Golden Tickets in hand, players head to the Hedgehog website, where they can submit their tickets and enter the weekly loot drop for a chance at winning.

Weekly Loot Drops and the Role of Hedgehog

The Hedgehog platform is the hub for ticket submission and prize distribution. Each Friday at 10:00 AM PT / 1:00 PM ET, the Star Atlas community team hosts the loot drops live on Discord, revealing the winners in real time. Players are encouraged to arrive early, as pre-drop minigames offer additional Golden Tickets, further boosting chances of winning.

Once a ticket is used, it’s considered "consumed" and can’t be reused, though players can participate in multiple weeks by acquiring new tickets. Winning tickets are instantly burned, preventing reuse in future draws.

Star Atlas, built using Unreal Engine 5 and supported by Solana blockchain’s serverless infrastructure, positions itself as a next-generation metaverse where player ownership and trading are central to gameplay.
