Game developer Tarta Games has officially kicked off the Closed Beta Test 1 (CBT1) for their anime RPG Spot Zero, giving eligible players on PC and Android a limited time opportunity to enjoy new features and earn a variety of exclusive rewards along the way.
What’s New in Spot Zero Closed Beta Test 1?
Closed Beta Test 1 introduces a number of new features and content for 10,000 players to enjoy in Spot Zero from April 15th to April 21st, 8 AM UTC.
The new additions to CBT1 specifically include Chapter 1: Celestial Sea, 8 unique Yokai companions, dynamic boss challenges, an idle/AFK system, limited time exclusive rewards, increased weapon drop rates in Daily UP Pools, and the Loyalty Program: Circle, according to the official Medium announcement.
Chapter 1: Celestial Sea is a new storyline campaign that caters to different groups of players by featuring two different modes you can choose to enjoy the narrative in: Normal Mode and Hard Mode. Normal Mode is said to be geared towards casual players who want to be immersed in the story while being more free to enjoy exploring the game’s fantasy world and unlocking companion bonds along the way. Hard Mode is made for skilled players looking for challenging gameplay in the form of stronger enemies and tough bosses.

A total of 8 unique Yokai companions can be unlocked throughout this playtest. Each playable Yokai is said to have their own distinct abilities and Gacha mechanics. You can unlock 3 different Yokai throughout the Chapter 1 campaign, while 5 more companions can be gained through a number of different ways that include Day 1 and Day 3 log-ins, as well as completion of the storyline’s Normal Mode. Some of the unlockable characters include the frosty Kagari, the speedy Elysia, the burning Ira, and more.
When you’re not able to play, the new idle/AFK system can kick in to allow you to passively make progress while you’re away. This means that with this new feature, you can continue earning EXP and Gold even while you’re offline, making the game more enjoyable to play when you’re back as you don’t need to constantly and actively grind to continue making progress. Idly collected resources can be claimed at any point during the playtest, and with enough AFK experience, you also get to unlock Elite Monster Challenges.

There are a host of varied exclusive rewards for players to earn throughout this playtest, including prizes from different leaderboards, as well as from the new Loyalty Program: Circle.
Loyalty Program: Circle is an entirely new rewards system for this web3 game that is designed to reward active players in this closed beta and future events with XP and exclusive badges, both of which seem to be significant for getting upcoming special in-game rewards and airdrops. For CBT1, players can earn XP and badges in a number of different ways. Among them is the Boss Leaderboard, where the top players across 7 leaderboard tiers are awarded with 1 badge & XP each. How to Participate in Spot Zero Closed Beta Test 1
To participate in Spot Zero Closed Beta Test 1, you need to have a CBT1 Access Code. Anyone interested previously had chances of getting one when pre-registrations opened on March 23rd via the game’s official website. Codes were also distributed via community giveaways, influences, partnered communities, and 2 different events.
If you missed out on gaining access to what is Spot Zero’s very first closed beta test and are interested in the game’s new Loyalty Program System, then you can likely look forward to more playtests arriving in the future that will give the blockchain gaming community more chances to play to airdrop while earning exclusive rewards.
Earlier this year, developer Tarta Games secured an Arbitrum Foundation grant for Spot Zero development.
