The Sport.Fun ecosystem has officially launched its new FUN Score system, giving players a live look at their engagement across the platform ahead of the $FUN token sale. The sale is set to take place on both Kraken Launch and Legion, marking a major next step in the evolution of the fantasy trading game that first broke out under the name Football.Fun.

FUN Score Now Tracks Player Engagement

As of now, the FUN Score is visible for every user directly inside the app. It acts as a live indicator of your activity across the ecosystem, reflecting everything from how often you play to how much you've spent and earned. While a high score doesn't lock in token rewards, it plays a role in how airdrop and token sale allocations are decided.

Your FUN Score considers several key factors. These include your account age, trade volume, pack purchases, fees paid, and how active your current squad is. If you've invited friends or built out your team over time, that also counts toward your total.

The system is already live, with the top 100 players currently sitting at over 22,000 points. To break into the top 1,000, you'd need more than 700 points. Even a score of 56 gets you into the top 5,000.

January Deadline to Build Your Score

There's still time for players to build up their FUN Score. The platform has confirmed that the scoring window remains open until January 2026. That means new users and long-time players alike still have the chance to strengthen their standing before the final token allocations are set.

You don’t need to guess what matters. Playing regularly, managing a strong squad, making smart trades, and earning rewards will all help raise your score. The system also accounts for your overall value to the ecosystem over time, not just your recent activity.

Sport.Fun's team has updated the scoring model in response to feedback. Players who took big profits early but continued to stay active and support the platform may now see improved scores. But accounts marked for heavy extraction (those that pulled out more than they contributed) are still likely to receive low or even zero scores.

The $FUN ICO Will Be Merit-Based

Sport.Fun's $FUN token sale will take place through Kraken Launch and Legion.cc. Unlike the usual FCFS launches, this ICO will use merit-based criteria to decide allocations.

On Kraken, participants will be chosen using the exchange's own internal metrics. On Legion, the Sport.Fun team will assign remaining allocations based on users' Legion Scores and additional factors still to be announced.

This approach is designed to reward players who've helped grow the platform over time, not just those with fast reflexes. Token buyers will need to complete KYC/AML checks, and restrictions apply in some regions, including the UK.

From Football.Fun to the Sport.Fun Ecosystem

The platform got its start in August 2025 as Football.Fun, a fantasy trading game built on Base. In just a few weeks, it became one of the most active consumer apps in the network, with over $90 million in trading volume and $10 million in revenue so far.

Now rebranded as Sport.Fun, the project has expanded into NFL and is gearing up to add NBA in early 2026. Other sports like Formula 1, cricket, and tennis are also in the works, based on community demand.

This shift signals the move from a single-sport game into a broader, linked ecosystem. Every sport ties into one account system, and players carry their scores, balances, and rewards from one game to the next.

How Sport.Fun Works

Sport.Fun combines fantasy sports, trading, and prediction markets. Instead of picking a static fantasy team, players buy and sell fractional shares of real-life athletes. These shares are tied to player performance and market demand, and every match becomes a trading event.

Each athlete has their own liquidity pool. You can buy in, sell out, or hold shares depending on how confident you are. Shares expire after 4 contracts, so you'll need to manage renewals or adjust your lineup to stay competitive.

The game runs on 2 main in-game tokens: Gold and Player Shares. Gold is used for things like buying packs and renewing contracts, and it's backed 1:1 with USDC on the Base network (only on the Pro version). Players deposit USDC to get Gold and can withdraw by converting Gold back to USDC. Player Shares, meanwhile, are tradable onchain assets used in tournaments.

How the FUN Score Is Calculated

The FUN Score isn't a black box. Players can see what goes into it and track their own metrics. The score factors in account age, net spend, contract renewals, fees paid, trade volume, current squad size, rewards earned, and invite-based activity.

You'll also be judged on how well you've played and how you've supported the ecosystem. Players who extract value quickly without reinvesting tend to score lower, while those who stick around and grow their squads are more likely to be rewarded.

Sport.Fun also confirmed that airdrop and ICO allocations won't be decided by FUN Score alone. The value of your current squad and your long-term play patterns are part of the equation too. If you've built a $100,000 squad and consistently shown up, that will likely count for more than simply hitting a high activity score.

Airdrop Timing Still Unconfirmed

The planned $FUN airdrop will reward users based on their contribution and activity across the platform, but the team has not yet confirmed a specific date. While your FUN Score will be one of the key indicators, it won't be the only factor used to determine allocations. Other elements such as squad value and long-term engagement will also be reviewed.

Until the token distribution is finalized, staying active by playing, trading, managing your squad, and inviting others remains the best way to stay eligible for both the airdrop and token sale.

Expansion Into Multiple Sports

Sport.Fun has recently launched NFL, which saw $1.8 million in pre-sale activity and over $2 million in day-one volume. NBA integration is expected in early 2026, with other sports like Formula 1 and cricket being considered based on demand.

As more leagues are added, players' progress (FUN Score, squad value, and other metrics) will carry over across titles. That consistency helps support the platform's economy across different games.
