Splinterlands has announced that the DEC Batteries sale is now officially live.

The sale started yesterday on February 8th at 1 PM ET / 6 PM UTC and will either run for 60 days or simply end earlier if all of the DEC-B tokens get sold out before the sale closes. A total of 2 billion DEC-B tokens are being given out for the price of 0.8 DEC or 0.005 VOUCHER tokens per DEC-B. All of the DEC and VOUCHER spent on this sale gets burned.

The DEC-B tokens are non-transferrable, non-refundable tokens that currently cannot be used for anything, but will have long-term utility, as holding them will allow players to get discounts on future purchases, spending the tokens in the game on things such as guild building upgrades, land presale packages, skins & cosmetics and more depending on what proposals the DAO approves. The developers originally proposed a land survey boost which ended up being rejected, but in the announcement article for the sale, the team has stated that they plan on proposing the sale of “a type of "starter" package” for land expansion, with the sale involving the burning of DEC or DEC-B tokens.

With this sale, the VOUCHER tokens have received an update, for which you can find info on the official announcement post of the sale here.

Last month, Splinterlands released a Battle Ruleset update as well as new Chaos Legion soulbound reward cards.
