After a number of beta tests, web3 game developer Tyranno Studios has officially launched its latest game, Spin Tycoon, into Early Access.
What Is Spin Tycoon?
Spin Tycoon is a city building strategy game and auto battler hybrid with a casino twist. Players construct their own casinos, manage resources, and expand their empire by spinning slot machines that generate troops, currencies, and rewards. These troops are then deployed in asynchronous PvP idle battles, where power, timing, and luck collide.
The game is set across multiple themed casinos, each with its own technology tree and troop pool. Initial themes include Wanted Wilds, Jungle Treasure, and Gods of Egypt, while Sakura Blossom is planned for a later update. Each theme influences spin costs, drop rates, troop types, and strategic options, making city design and casino choice part of overall strategy.
Players rise through the ranks by expanding their casinos, upgrading troops, and raiding other Tycoons for loot and glory. The higher you climb, the more your city stands out as a powerhouse in the game’s universe.
Following what seems to have been successful open beta testing earlier this year, Tyranno Studios, who you may know as the developer of Blockchain Brawlers, has now officially launched the game in Early Access, playable exclusively on web browsers as a free to play title developed in Unity. Let’s take a look at the features included in this early release.
What Are the Features of Spin Tycoon Early Access?
The Early Access version of Spin Tycoon is not a demo. Rather, it lets you experience the full foundation of the game, complete with live systems and core gameplay mechanics, with a roadmap of upcoming updates shaped by player input.
At its heart, this strategy game combines slot machine mechanics with strategic empire management. Players spin themed slots to generate troops and resources, then use those assets to expand their cities, research technologies, and wage war. Combat takes place through auto-resolving PvP raids, where troop strength, composition, and levels determine victory.
Troop progression is a key aspect to domination. Each troop can be leveled up for better stats, but true power spikes arrive at levels 5 and 10, when they unlock new abilities that redefine their battlefield roles. A level 5 unit can suddenly gain an area attack or support ability that changes the course of battle.
Next to the addition of troop level power spikes, this release also features tech trees, enabling players to set up their own custom strategies. Every casino comes with its own tech tree and troop upgrade paths. This allows players to tailor their empire’s growth, choosing between aggressive, defensive, or economic strategies. Whether you prioritize resource production, troop upgrades, or faster spins is up to you.
Throughout this phase, expect regular updates that introduce new features, bug fixes, and balancing changes based on community feedback.

What Are the Early Access Rewards?
To celebrate the launch, the developers are giving Early Access players a “High Roller” package that includes 10,000 Chips and 250 Troops.
This starter kit gives new players a competitive edge in building their empire and climbing the leaderboard. It allows Tycoons to immediately upgrade infrastructure, train units, and raid rivals before everyone else catches up.
Beyond the starter rewards, the game also features daily bonuses, milestone achievements, and leaderboard prizes. Progressing early in the season can secure a lasting advantage and possibly valuable rewards once the global release begins.
So, if you want to kickstart your journey in building your digital casino empire, it’s probably best to start playing in this phase to make the most of the in-game rewards. There does not seem to be any token or NFT prizes to play to earn in this release, but playing now might set you up for a potential future token airdrop. Here is how you can play in this phase.
How to Play Spin Tycoon Early Access
The Early Access version of Spin Tycoon is playable directly in your web browser by heading to play.spintycoon.com, with a mobile launch for Android and iOS said to be coming soon on official app stores.
The developers have focused on making this a web2-friendly game, meaning you can create an account by choosing Google or Apple as a social sign in option, with no need to connect a crypto wallet. Once inside, you can name your city, establish your first casino block, and start spinning to recruit troops and gather resources.
This city builder revolves around several key currencies: Chips, Spin Tokens, Bills, and Coins.
Chips are used to heal troops, start tech research, and upgrade groups. They can be earned from quests, competitions, and mining. Spin Tokens fuel your slot machines, letting you generate troops and win loot. The more you spin, the faster your empire grows. Bills reduce timers, allowing you to skip research or upgrade wait times. Coins are essential for repairing buildings and upgrading your casino infrastructure.
Your city is made up of several core structures: Mines, Vaults, Research Centers, Quest Buildings, and Barracks.
Mines generate passive income, while Vaults protect your resources from raiders, and Research Centers are used to unlock higher-tier technologies. Quest Buildings is where you can look for daily objectives to complete and earn rewards for doing so. Barracks control how many troops you can upgrade and to what level as well.
Building upgrades are limited by Building Permits, which start at 10 but can be expanded by collecting Permit Shards from slot spins. As you upgrade your city, you gain both power and prestige, but also become a bigger target for rival Tycoons.

New players begin with a 48-hour protection shield, giving them time to establish defenses and strengthen troops before entering PvP combat. You can safely fight NPC opponents during this period, but attacking live players will remove your shield.
Once your protection ends, get ready for chaos. You can raid other cities for resources, defend against enemy assaults, and compete in Daily and Weekly Competitions to earn prizes.
Troops are the heart of your army, and each type offers different abilities. Levels 1 to 4 provide baseline strength, but Level 5 introduces unique abilities that change the unit’s battlefield role. Studying troop cards and matchups is key to optimizing your strategy.
The Barracks Level determines how high your troops can be upgraded. For instance, if your Barracks is at level 4, your troops cannot advance to level 5 until the building is upgraded. Reaching level 5 should be an early goal, as it opens access to the most powerful abilities.
To make progress smoother, every player starts with a Mining Bot that automatically collects resources and repairs structures for 12 hours a day (upgradeable to 15). The bot then rests for 9 hours before it can be reactivated. It is an essential tool for keeping your city productive even when you are offline.
By playing now, you might set yourself up for a potential airdrop allocation of the upcoming $SPNT token, though the official announcement doesn’t specify if that is the case. If you enjoy city builders and auto battlers and like the idea of combining these genres and putting a gambling twist to them, then Spin Tycoon could be right up your alley.
