The team behind the Creepz NFT collection has announced a playtest for their second in-development web3 game, Creepz Party.
The Creepz Party Playtest is a limited time testing period and opportunity to play and earn NFTs while trying out the multiplayer party game.
While the exact features and starting date of the playtest are unknown at the time of writing, we do know that this won’t be a public event, but one in which a number of lucky gamers will gain entry. The exact number of participants allowed is not known, but anyone who is a Creepz NFT holder has a shot of potentially gaining access. If you want to play early and potentially earn NFT rewards along the way, then here's how you can join in.
To join the Creepz Party Playtest, you will need to get one ticket by using free spins as a Creepz NFT holder on the Playtest Box in the IP’s Playground platform. If you win a ticket, you will need to post your screenshot as proof on Twitter/X and tag @creepz in your post. By doing so, you have a chance of potentially securing a spot for the playtest. The Playtest Box has gone live on May 9th, and you have until May 13th to submit your entry. You only need one Party Playtest Ticket to qualify, and getting it from spinning the new Playtest Box is not guaranteed, as there are two other assets you might end up getting airdropped instead.
Spinning as a non-holder for free is not an option. While there are other mystery boxes you can make spins in as a non NFT holder, those cost at least $10 in USDT on Ethereum and do not seem to include chances of winning tickets. They do come with other rewards though, such as varying quantities of USDC, USDT, ETH, SOL, and various assets. You can check the contents of each box before deciding to spin. These normal lootboxes change during the week. There are also holder-only boxes that will only change every Friday, which is the day your free spins as a holder are refilled every week.
If you do get selected to participate, you can look forward to competing for Creepz NFTs. The number of NFTs set to be given away as rewards for the best players has not been revealed yet, but if you want to get another one of these NFTs while helping the developers playtest their cute cartoonish title, then trying to get access could be worth a try.
The Playground website is an online platform in which you can open mystery boxes to earn crypto and NFTs. It’s linked in the official X announcement thread, and once you’ve opened the platform, you can try and go for a demo spin to see how things work, or login and use up your 1 free spin for the week, with free spins available only for Creepz NFT holders. Only 1 free spin seems to be available per week, with refills happening every Friday. You can login by connecting a crypto wallet such as MetaMask, Phantom, Coinbase Wallet, Brave Wallet, Rainbow, or WalletConnect, with the login setup powered by Privy wallet infrastructure.
If you want to make free spins yourself but don’t own the required NFT, you can get the Creepz NFT on Ethereum via OpenSea for the current floor price of 1.439 ETH. The NFT collection launched in January 2022 and features genesis lizard PFPs set in the Overlord Universe, a story-driven web3 gaming and media ecosystem. Holders look set to receive multiple token airdrops.
Earlier this year, Creepz announced their first web3 game: Creepz Clash, a multiplayer hero shooter coming soon to PC and consoles. Shortly afterwards, Creepz unveiled their second blockchain game: Creepz Party. Both games are set to be powered by the upcoming $CREEPZ token, for which TGE is not yet known.
