Spider Tanks Players Can Now Buy All Items Using $SILK

The developers of PvP brawler Spider Tanks have announced that the $SILK token can now be used to buy all items available for the Gala Games title.

Update Details

While the token was previously still usable for purchasing Components and Drop Ships, there were Weapons, Bodies and Hero Tanks that you could not – for those you had to buy with either $GALA, $ETH or USD. But now, any item that you want can actually be purchased using $SILK, providing more options in how you’d like to use your rewards.

According to the announcement, buying new Tanks using $SILK will increase the amount of available $SILK that is distributed to VP holders at the end of the day. It is also said that those new Tanks might at some point end up increase the quantity of Victory Points that can be gained per match.

Overall, if you’ve been sitting on a lot of $SILK with no idea on how to use it, then perhaps this new change could help you decide. With this update, alongside the removal of The Honor System, the studio hopes that the Web3 game is now more accessible to everyone.

Spider Tanks is available for download as a free-to-play title through the official website of Gala Games.
