The NFT-powered galactic adventure game Space Misfits will introduce FPS combat gameplay with its next massive update Habitats. The update will add new solar systems, new space stations, and lots of playable content. The Habitats update for Space Misfits will be all about scaling their universe for diverse experiences.
Habitats will be the next massive update for Space Misfits. It will introduce a game mode called Disembark, which is FPS combat. Players will leave their spaceships by boarding an abandoned ship inside Excursion. Here they need to find resources and other treasures, but there will be other treasure hunters and NPCs as well.
Disembark will be timed events in the Space Misfits universe. Within the Excursion zone players need to find an abandoned ship, and deploy a bio-tech droid to enter. The droid has a variety of weapons and tools for offensive and defensive situations. Player performance within the Disembark game mode will also influence Powerplay, a leveling up system for factions (more about that in a bit).
The development team behind Space Misfits just recently introduced the Rogue update, which added a whole lot more content to the game. In addition they announced to move their entire economy to the blockchain. For the last three months of the year there will still be two big Rogue updates in the pipeline, featuring missions and player factions warfare.
Each faction will come with its own benefits, ranging from cargo and mining yield to increased ship damage and fire power range. Players will be able to switch factions every day, while there's also a weekly reward for the winning faction. This will come with boosts to faction members, and the more leveled up someone is within a faction the greater the boost.
Space Misfits is a 3D space sandbox MMO. Players can hunt, collect and mine for items and resources with real-world value. Gamers are free to decide on the role they which to have in the game’s economy. They can become a space pirate, a trader or miner!
In this game players can explore the universe, gather resources, build ship components, command starships and battle other players. All these elements create an open in-game economy on the Enjin blockchain. As a result players can trade items with real value within the game itself.
Space Station Tokens are one of the most valued item in Space Misfits. This ERC-1155 token provides a true play-to-earn model inside the game. Gamers who own the Space Stations earn tokens from each transaction that happens inside these space stations. Players who own these tokens cannot simply sit back and collect. They must perform actions inside the station.
This sandbox game doesn’t have a story, but only provides a setting. Players will for example have to deal with corporate greed, space pirates taking down valuable loads or other players hunting each other. These elements provide enough story, one that’s different for every player in the game’s universe.
