Soneium and Galxe Open the Spotlight Stage
Soneium has officially launched Spotlight, a coordinated multi-project campaign powered by Soneium and Galxe, with support from ZNSConnect, Blazpay, and Fractal Visions. The Sony Block Solutions Labs ecosystem confirmed the launch on May 31, 2026, framing the initiative as a shared stage where gaming, NFTs, IP, and creator communities come together under one unified experience.
The pitch is straightforward. Spotlight puts the most active builders on Soneium front and center, all at once. Rather than running separate campaigns for each project, the network has pulled together ten ecosystem partners into a single quest hub, where users complete tasks across all participating projects to earn rewards from a shared 10,000 USD pool.
The campaign brings together entertainment projects across five core categories. IP, music, creator tools, gaming, and NFTs all sit alongside each other in the same campaign structure. The studio's message to users captures the loop directly. Complete quests, collect rewards, explore the full ecosystem.
How Spotlight Works
Spotlight is a one-month onchain campaign hosted on Galxe, the leading Web3 quest and engagement platform. The entry flow is simple. Users head to the Spotlight quest page on Galxe, connect their wallet, complete quests across all participating projects, and earn their share of the 10,000 USD ecosystem reward pool.
The structure rewards depth of exploration rather than shallow participation. The more projects a user engages with across the ten partners, the deeper their footprint inside the Soneium ecosystem and the more reward they qualify for. To be eligible for the final payout, users must complete all the quests across the participating projects, with rewards distributed at the end of the campaign window.
That all-or-nothing eligibility design is a deliberate choice. It pushes users to engage with projects they might not otherwise discover, which is the entire point of an ecosystem-wide quest hub. Users who only stick to one or two projects miss out, while those who push through the full quest list across all ten partners get the payout.
The Ten Projects in the Spotlight
The campaign features ten distinct projects spanning the breadth of the Soneium ecosystem. Each one offers its own quest line, with different reward structures and engagement requirements.
Blazpay runs a Blazpay x Soneium campaign tied to an exclusive EntryPass NFT. Captain and Co is a pirate-themed onchain title where users plunder mScore points and stack rewards through pirate warfare meets onchain collectibles. Fractal Visions operates as a creator hub for NFTs on Soneium.
Intraverse brings two separate experiences to the Spotlight lineup. Claw Machine is the first Cool Cats Claw Machine powered by Superstake, which the studio describes as an engine that transforms assets into playable utility. Cash or Crash is positioned as the home of pure adrenaline games.
Jamit is an AI-powered storytelling platform where users create, publish, listen to, and monetize original audio stories. Kami is an all-in-one platform that lets creators create, collaborate, and commercialize digital content and IP. Arcade, operated by Omega Network, brings the fun to Soneium as the network's dedicated arcade gaming offering.
SoundChains, an AI-powered music creation studio, lets users generate AI music tracks and mint them as ERC-721 NFTs on Soneium. Verity, run by Weadvertizers, is an anti-AI verification platform where users record real videos and photos to prove content is not AI-generated, then mint verified content as NFTs on Soneium.
ZNSConnect rounds out the lineup as the multichain Web3 identity layer live across more than 90 EVM networks, with over 535,000 domains minted by more than 182,000 users.
What the Ecosystem Coverage Tells Us About Soneium
The composition of the Spotlight project list is itself a signal of where Soneium has been investing its ecosystem development effort. Gaming sits at the center, with Intraverse contributing two separate game titles, Arcade running an entire dedicated arcade layer, and Captain and Co adding a pirate-themed collectible experience. The future of play vertical is clearly one of the network's strongest categories.
Beyond gaming, AI-driven creator tools form a second major cluster. Jamit handles audio storytelling, SoundChains covers AI music generation, and Verity flips the AI angle to focus on content authenticity rather than generation. The combination shows Soneium positioning itself as a network for both creative production and creative verification, which makes sense for a chain built by Sony Block Solutions Labs given Sony's wider footprint across entertainment, music, and content.
The NFT and IP categories are represented by Fractal Visions and Kami, both of which approach creator economies from different angles. Identity infrastructure is anchored by ZNSConnect, and payments and onboarding are covered by Blazpay. Together the ten projects map out a coherent vision of consumer Web3 entertainment, with the Spotlight campaign acting as the unified entry point for users to explore each piece.
Inside Soneium: The Sony-Backed Ethereum Layer 2
Soneium is an Ethereum Layer 2 network developed by Sony Block Solutions Labs in partnership with Startale, designed as a consumer-facing chain for entertainment, gaming, and digital content. The network is built on the OP Stack, making it part of the broader Optimism Superchain, and benefits from Sony's distribution reach across its global content ecosystem.
The chain has been actively building out its ecosystem since its mainnet launch, with onchain activity now spanning more than 5.1 million wallets and a transaction history that has crossed 380 million transactions. The Startale App, the consumer layer that sits on top of Soneium, serves as the official onramp for mainstream users, supporting gasless transactions and seedless wallet creation through account abstraction.
The wider ecosystem features prominent Mini-App games such as Pocket Knights, Awakening of Guardians, Burrow Bash, Clash Horse, Dice or Die, Heroes of Hecanos, Morning Farm, Morning Moon Pocket, and World of Trinity, all of which run through the Startale platform. The Spotlight campaign sits alongside that existing roster as a discovery layer designed to surface projects users may not have engaged with yet.
The financial backing behind the project is significant. Startale Group, the operating partner on the network, has raised funding from investors including Sony and Samsung Next, alongside a 13 million USD follow-on investment from the Sony Innovation Fund. That deep institutional backing gives the network the runway to run ecosystem-wide campaigns like Spotlight without needing to chase short-term metrics.
The Galxe Quest Layer
Galxe handles the back-end quest infrastructure for Spotlight, building on its established position as one of the leading Web3 quest and engagement platforms. The platform runs onchain credential and reward systems used by hundreds of projects, and its quest format has become a standard tool for ecosystem activation campaigns of this kind.
For users, the Galxe interface keeps the participation flow simple. Connect a wallet, navigate through the quest list, complete the required actions across each participating project, and accumulate the credentials needed to qualify for the reward distribution. Each individual project's quests live as separate tasks inside the same Spotlight campaign page, letting users move through the ecosystem at their own pace within the one-month window.
Why an Ecosystem Campaign Like This Matters
Ecosystem-wide quest campaigns have become a standard tool in the Layer 2 playbook over the past year, with networks such as Base, Arbitrum, and Optimism running similar shared-reward campaigns to drive cross-project engagement. Spotlight follows that template but anchors it inside the Soneium and Galxe partnership, giving the network a distinct branded vehicle for ecosystem activation.
The model addresses one of the persistent challenges in Layer 2 growth. Individual projects often have strong communities of their own but limited overlap with other projects on the same network. Shared quest campaigns force that overlap, exposing users to projects outside their immediate interest area and creating organic cross-pollination between communities. With a 10,000 USD reward pool spread across users who complete the full quest list, the incentive structure favors broad exploration over narrow loyalty.
For Soneium specifically, Spotlight also serves a positioning function. By framing the campaign around entertainment categories rather than purely DeFi or infrastructure, the network reinforces its identity as a consumer-facing chain. Sony's involvement in the underlying infrastructure makes that positioning credible, with the entertainment and content focus aligning naturally with the parent company's broader business.
What Comes Next
The Spotlight campaign is live now and runs through the end of June. Users have a one-month window to complete the full quest list across all ten participating projects. Rewards will be distributed at the end of the campaign, with the studio's clear eligibility requirement that users complete every quest to qualify for the shared 10,000 USD pool.
For now, the message from Soneium captures the moment. Spotlight is what ecosystem-wide collaboration looks like, the campaign is open, and the projects are ready. Users who want in can head to the Soneium Spotlight quest page on Galxe, connect their wallet, and start exploring.
