Snoop Dogg Dropped into The Sandbox Like it's Hot

American hiphop star Snoop Dogg has entered the virtual world of The Sandbox, recreating his mansion as a location to show off his NFT collection and organize virtual parties. In addition The Sandbox will organize two land sales on September 30th and November 4th for land, premium land and special auctions for bigger estates.

Earlier this week Snoop Dogg revealed to be the person behind Cozomo de'Medici, an NFT collector on Twitter with a $17 million NFT collection. Apparently Snoop Dogg will showcase his collection inside his virtual mansion in The Sandbox, while also hosting parties with live music performances.

As always, premium land in The Sandbox comes with a wide range of extra NFTs. This time there will be different versions of Snoop Dogg, embracing different phases from the rapper's career. There will also be special cars for sale, NFT versions of his dogs and so on.

Among the premium NFTs there will also be Snoop Dogg Private Party Passes, which give the owners access to exclusive NFT drops and private parties in the metaverse. However, some of them already were for sale for 1050 SAND ($780) and can now be found on OpenSea for 1.2 ETH ($3200 or more). In total there are 1000 party passes, of which 650 are now on the market, while 212 will go the premium land owners. The remaining 138 will be given away to the community.

How to get land next to Snoop's mansion

1. Register now, because you won't be able to do that on the day of the sale
2. Make sure you have SAND tokens in your wallet
3. Regular land without extra NFTs costs 1011 SAND, while premium land costs 4683 SAND
4. You will need to be quick, because - similar to other recent sales events - these lands will go fast!

What is The Sandbox?

The Sandbox is one of the blockchain-powered virtual worlds currently in development. The virtual world of The Sandbox consists out of lands, and voxels fill up each of those lands. Visually it will remind many gamers of Minecraft, as both games have this Lego-inspired look to them. However, players are able to buy virtual land and implement any form of monetization. The Sandbox is providing free tools for developers, gamers and content creators. Creators can use VoxEdit to make objects. In addition the Game Maker allows users to create interactivity on their virtual land. The Sandbox will also create a meta gaming experience. Players can for example do daily quests or weekly quests for their guild. This will earn players SAND, which they can sell or use to buy in-game items or virtual land.
