After posting a teaser of life sim RPG Soulbound, developer Darkbright, the first-party studio of the Treasure ecosystem, has now published the official trailer for their upcoming Web3 title, featuring both colorful animated cinematics and cozy-looking gameplay.
This trailer marks the first time that the developers have showcased how the game itself will actually look like. After having her world blown to bits by a meteor, the narrator and her new monkey companion are greeted by a new piece of land to explore, a land carried by a cute giant whale swimming through outer space. This is where we get to see some cozy 2D gameplay which seems to involve planting and farming various crops, interacting with a diverse range of unusual characters, as well as fighting enemies such as angry tomatoes with a cucumber. That’s not all though, as it seems we’ll actually be able to control the whale itself in a somewhat 3D or 2.5D view, who can take you to various new locations to explore.
One part of the footage also reveals that players will be able to make shipyard and boat upgrades, as well as do various island quests, sending boats to explore new islands in order to gain new info and collect resources.
Next to showcasing cute gameplay and visuals, the studio also teased at the end that an alpha version is coming soon and that anyone interested can sign up for an allowlist using the official link in the below tweet. This will take you to a hub which features various social media-based quests to complete in order to earn INSPO, which is needed to climb the leaderboard. Referring friends is also available, with the highest-ranked participants set to receive an allowlist spot that opens the opportunity to experience early access gameplay, gain airdrop rewards and more.
