Stage 2 of the Closed Beta Test for web3 idle card game Sleepagotchi is now live on Android and iOS in the form of the LITE version on Telegram, and anyone can apply for a chance at getting selected to playtest and possibly earn rewards in the process.
To join Stage 2 of Sleepagotchi’s Closed Beta Test, head on over to the application form linked in the official X announcement and fill in the Google form for a chance at getting selected.
You’ll need to put in your Discord username, phone brand, phone model, OS version, and Android/iOS version, while Telegram username and choosing whether you’re on an Android or iOS mobile device is optional, among other things. The more info you submit however, your chances of being selected are likely increased, especially if you earned the Sleep Master role by completing the last room in the V2 game and are now on New Game Plus. If you ranked in the top 200 on Sleepagotchi LITE, that will also boost your chances.
There is no deadline for this application, nor an exact end date for this beta test. Access however is said to be provided “based on order of submission” as well as based on community activity and the device you’re testing on. Invitations are said to be given out in waves, so if you do apply, be sure to keep an eye out on your emails for a potential invite. The form states that if you do get invited, you will need to accept the invitation within 24 hours from receiving it in order to successfully join this second stage.
Even if you don’t get picked, it looks like you are still in the running for a Gacha Giveaway, where 30 winners will be rewarded with 3 packs each. This seems to refer to in-game hero card packs that you can use to complete idle challenges.
Testers are expected to actively playtest throughout the entire closed beta test phase while reporting any bugs or issues and providing constructive feedback to help the team create a better blockchain gaming experience.
All in-game progress you make during this playtest will be wiped out. To compensate for the reset however and reward testers for helping the developers improve their web3 game, there will be unspecified exclusive benefits to look forward to when the public version of the game goes live at some point in the future.
The team recently held an AMA to update the Sleepagotchi community on latest developments while answering various questions.
According to the official summary, the closed beta test already went live on iOS 2 days before the AMA took place, with 50 testers already participating and providing positive gameplay feedback. Some bugs and crashes seem to have also been already fixed. The Android version kicks off on May 20, so invitations for Android users are likely to be going out soon if they haven’t already.
While the game is currently only playable on Telegram, the AMA has revealed that the LINE version of Sleepagotchi LITE is coming out very soon alongside a web release as well. Anyone looking to play on a web browser will be able to log in via Telegram or LINE.
The Dream Job Campaign was also mentioned during the AMA. This campaign is said to reward accepted applicants with $50 per hour to sleep and test the app while receiving perks that include company merch and a $50 Uber Eats gift card. The application form can be found linked in the AMA summary on X, and while the deadline is supposedly June 3, it seems the form has been closed down at the time of writing.
In regards to TGE-related questions, it looks like there will be airdrop rewards for testers and the community, with closed beta having its own prize pool. There is also a collaboration with Square Enix currently live, where anyone who completes Symbiogenesis Chapter 4 is entered into a raffle for a White Dragon NFT and a chance to win an in-game Epic card that can be used in Sleepagotchi LITE. No specific TGE date was given, but it looks like it is “getting close.”
