Game developer Horizon Blockchain Games has released a 2023 roadmap for their free-to-play, blockchain-based trading card game, Skyweaver. The roadmap includes new features such as improved quests, tournaments, more translations, cosmetics, and new hero abilities.

The new hero abilities will help balance the game and celebrate the diverse cast of characters within Skyweaver by providing unique abilities that define the characters within the game and its lore. These abilities will also enhance existing cards without making them obsolete. Additionally, the game will introduce upgraded starter decks that will include cards not seen before.

The game's improved questing apparatus, which will be released in the next few months, will feature daily, weekly, and seasonal quests that require both in-game and out-of-game actions.

The robust tournament system, which will cater to many levels of players, will define and support several strata of players. The tournaments will vary in entry fee, prize schedule, and number of rounds. Tournaments will be constructed, where players build a deck in advance to compete, and eventually, the game will include drafting tournaments.

Horizon Blockchain Games plans to create a healthier metagame where all fifteen heroes are viable. As the year draws to a close, the game will introduce hero progression in the next expansion, allowing players to unlock new abilities for their favorite heroes. The game's developers are working on making the game available to as many levels of players as possible, beyond the current void between casual and Conquest. The new features are expected to provide players with more things to do and achieve within the game.
