What's coming up in SHIB: The Metaverse

SHIB The Metaverse, a long-awaited expansion of the Shiba Inu ecosystem, has confirmed that it will partially go live by the end of 2023. 

According to the announcement, users can explore some of the areas in this virtual world, build, design, play, and develop within the platform at launch. Not all areas will be completed, as the Metaverse is an ongoing project. However, the team has promised to release a few optimized Hubs and the required tools for users to start building and creating.

In terms of infrastructure development, Shib said The Metaverse had undergone a major change to provide users with a more photorealistic experience. This is made possible by creating the virtual world with Unreal Engine 5.1. A new destination called the Rocket Pond, as shown above, will be revealed as the new Hub apart from the WAGMI Temple, which premiered last month at SXSW 2023. 

On top of that, various creator tools will be provided, including the Plot Builder, a UI tool that allows users to create and customize their plots. Users could also personalize their avatars with the Avatar Builder and create interactive games and experiences using the Game Maker. 

The Shiba Inu project was first announced in January 2022, under the nickname Shiberse, before changing the name to "SHIB: The Metaverse" two months later. Since then, the platform has made some key milestones, according to Shiba developers. 

The team has also revealed a new social media account dedicated to SHIB: The Metaverse. To celebrate this occasion, SHIB is giving away NFT lands to ten lucky winners who follow @mvshib and retweet the post below.
