Mobile action RPG Shatterpoint has just announced its upcoming Play to Airdrop (P2A) campaign. This new event gives players the chance to earn Sparks, a temporary in-game currency that will later be swapped for $POINT, the game's main web3 token. There's no official start date or prize pool yet, but the team has outlined how the campaign will work and how players can get involved.
Sparks are a limited-time resource you earn by playing Shatterpoint during the P2A campaign. You won't be able to trade or use them right away, but once the Token Generation Event (TGE) happens, all Sparks you've collected will be exchanged for $POINT tokens. $POINT will be used across the Shatterpoint ecosystem for things like upgrades, trades, and future rewards.
According to the team, this campaign is split into three different reward paths: Crystal Holder Pool, Game Leaderboard Pool, and Referral Competition Pool. Each one is built around a different kind of gameplay or social activity, so there's something for everyone.
If you already own or can get your hands on an Explorer's Crystal, you're in luck. This NFT gives you access to the biggest Sparks reward pool during the campaign. To get it, you'll need to join the Early Access campaign and score an Early Access Mystery Box. The box may include an Explorer's Crystal, which is only available for a limited time.
Winning PvP matches while the Crystal is equipped is how you'll earn Sparks in this pool. After the campaign, the Explorer's Crystal will evolve into a regular Crystal, which you'll still be able to use in battles and for upgrades.
If you're into competitive play, the Game Leaderboard Pool is your best bet. Every week, Shatterpoint will launch new quests and challenges. Players complete tasks and climb the leaderboard based on their in-game performance. At the end of each week, top players will earn Sparks.
What's great is that you don't need to own any NFTs to join. All you need is to link your game to an Open Loot account. Every new week resets the leaderboard, giving players fresh chances to earn even if they joined late.
There's also a social side to the airdrop. By referring your friends to Shatterpoint, you can earn Sparks together. Each player gets a referral code. When your friend enters your code and you both win PvP matches, those wins add up on the referral leaderboard. The more wins you and your team collect, the higher you climb.
Even though there's no confirmed launch date, the team has said more info will drop soon through their official channels. If you want to be among the first to earn Sparks, the best move is to join the Early Access now. This will give you a chance to get the Explorer's Crystal and start earning right when the event goes live.
