Here's all about the Shatterpoint x Fractal: Pre-Season event

Shatterpoint, a Polygon-based mobile action RPG, will launch a Pre-Season tournament on Fractal, the leading blockchain gaming platform.

This special event is free to play and will occur before Shatterpoint's Open Beta, which is set to begin in April. Anyone who links their account with Fractal Wallet can compete on the leaderboard for USDC and NFT prizes. 

Shatterpoint is a blockchain mobile action RPG in which players choose their battles, challenge others, and attempt to survive "The Shattering." It is a never-ending cycle of destruction and death represented by seasons, each with new content, enemies, and campaign rewards. Players' character levels and equipment items will be reset every week, but runes and resources will be preserved ("shatter-proof"). The Pre-Season will reward weekly and overall winners with the highest cumulative rankings over the 4-week event. 

According to Fractal, the Pre-Season tournament will begin on March 27th, 12 pm (UTC), and run for four weeks until April 23rd, 12 pm (UTC). Once the event commences, head to Shatterpoint's project page on Fractal, and download the game from Google Play or App Store. Players must create a BlockGame account and link their BlockGames ID with their Fractal Wallet before finishing the tutorial and reaching Level 10 in PvE to enter ranked PvP matches. 

The PvP arena will only open up for 4 hours per day, from 11:00 -13:00 UTC and 00:00–02:00 UTC. This is the only time players can climb the leaderboard. Winning a PvP match will grant 5 Trophies, and losing will grant 1. The more Trophies they get, the better their rankings. 

According to Fractal, players can improve their winning rates by leveling up their gears and abilities. This can be done through PvE campaigns and randomized weekly challenges, which will grant quest rewards in Quantus Dust and rare Rune NFTs.

All participants will compete for a prize pool of in-game NFTs and $1,000 USDC. Free players and Founder Hero NFT holders will be rewarded as follows: 

Weekly non-cash prizes: 

For Founder Hero NFT holders:

  • Top 3 players: 1x Founder Hero NFT each.
  • Top 10 players: 1x Hero NFT gift card each. 

For other players:

  • Top 5 players: 5500 Dust / 100 Quantus / 5000 Shards.
  • Top 25 players: 2000 Dust / 40 Quantus / 2000 Shards.
  • Top 100 players: 650 Dust / 10 Quantus / 800 Shards.

Pre-Season $1,000 cash prize pool: 

For Founder Hero NFT holders:

  • 1st place: $100.
  • 2nd place: $80.
  • 3rd place: $70.
  • 4–5th place: $50 each.
  • 6–10th place: $30 each.
  • 11–20th place: $10 each.

For non-holders: 

  • 1st-50th place: $3 each.
  • 50–100th place: $2 each.
  • 100–250th place: $1 each.
