The beta test Seraph: In the Darkness, an action looter RPG, is now officially live until July 17th with a new storyline chapter for players to fight through while trying out economy features and eventually taking on new endgame content.
Running on the BNB Chain Testnet, the beta test, which started on July 4th, let’s players try out a new chapter: Act 5 – High Heaven Sanctuary. In this new act, players will get to go through the Gates of Heaven while taking on the trials set out by the four Angelic Kings. This means that there are now new locations to explore and new sub-boss monsters to battle.
The newly-added endgame content is a new dimension called Void Realms, which requires the Chaos Sundial in order to be able to enter. The new dangerous areas can be accessed using the Archangel statue found at the Nightmare difficulty of Act 5, the Gate of Heaven.
As for economy features, the Chaos Repository now has Soul Box forging and Seraph’s Feather forging. The former requires having enough of Soul Spars, an in-game currency, while the latter needs a Soul Box and Heart of Stone in order to be forged.
Soul Spars represents the main in-game currency used for trading items, improving Chaos Equipment, and more. It is however not an on-chain token, and it can be earned over on the new Void Realms dungeon. The amount dropped depends on the Treasure Value of the Chaos Equipment you’re wearing, as well as on the quantity of Chaos Equipment you’re wearing. It is however possible to earn a bit of the currency even without having any Chaos Equipment.
The core on-chain token of this game is Seraph’s Feather ($SRF). A part of its supply is dedicated to player rewards, meaning that it can be earned by ranking high on the seasonal PVP leaderboard.
