Skyweaver developer Horizon has announced that their Sequence Unreal SDK, the Sequence Embedded Wallet solution, has become a Verified Solution on the Unreal Engine Marketplace.
Game developers using Unreal Engine 5.2 or later have the option to use this non-custodial toolkit to easily add web3 features to their game in a seamless way, making it simpler than ever for teams to deliver a user-friendly blockchain gaming experience. The Sequence Embedded Wallet is also the only verified EVM-based web3 solution on the marketplace, marking a significant step forward in the adoption of blockchain gaming tools that could pave the way for increased interest amongst developers in becoming a part of the web3 gaming industry.
This announcement came last month, shortly after becoming a Verified Solution on the Unity Asset Store in July this year. Becoming a Verified Solution on either marketplace adds a higher level of credibility to your asset.
In the case of the Unity SDK, getting that checkmark means that Unity had a good look at your asset to ensure users interested in it that the product works with the latest versions of the engine, provides custom solutions, and is reliable for the long-term.
On the official marketplace page for the Unreal SDK, Sequence is labelled as being a Verified Trader, which means that the company’s info has been verified in order to make sure that the studio and its offerings comply with regulations regarding the European Union law, adding a level of trust that is likely to help interested developers feel safer in trying out the tool you put out on the marketplace. Basically, if any developer was previously worried of dabbling with blockchain technology because of safety concerns or whatever legal, trust-based reason, or they simply struggled to find a viable solution because they doubted its reliability, they now have a verified solution they can go to without being too worried about getting scammed or something.
With Sequence becoming the first web3 wallet solution to be verified for the Unreal Engine, hopefully this means we will start seeing more solutions getting verified in this major ecosystem to give developers more options to choose from, which in turn could potentially lead to increased interest in blockchain game development and hopefully to more quality and varied web3 games for all of us to enjoy.
Sequence Embedded Wallets represents a secure non-custodial toolkit made by “the creators of the first account abstraction and smart contract wallets.” It allows studios to easily integrate blockchain technology into their games, and make it hidden from the player while doing so, enabling a seamless blockchain gaming experience that hides all the complexities and lets the player stay focused on the game they want to play. This onboarding experience is achieved thanks to Horizon’s WaaS (Smart Wallet-as-a-Service) solution that invisibly creates on-chain wallet accounts on demand for players gaming on any device, enabling developers to add new methods to reward their playerbase while also making it easy to integrate with EVM-compatible networks, including Layer 2s, Layer 3s, app chains, and subnets.
Next to creating self-custody accounts fitting the game's visuals, the solution removes pop-ups, downloads, and transaction signings to enable a seamless and immersive experience where all the web3 stuff stays in the background. Games that use this solution can let players easily set up accounts the web2 way, using existing player auth logins, email, or social accounts such as Discord, Google, Apple, and more. It also comes with recovery support as well as support for 2FA, integrated marketplaces, and guest wallets.
Sequence is an all-in-one web3 game development platform backed by Take-Two Interactive, Ubisoft, Xsolla, Bitkraft, Polygon, and more. Next to offering embedded wallet solutions for Unity and Unreal Engine, the official website of Sequence lets you access the Sequence Builder, a blockchain game development platform through which users can use a single console to develop games with a variety of plug-and-play tools such as wallets, smart contract deployment, gas sponsorship for players, custom marketplaces, crypto and traditional payment solutions, and more.
