Sequence, a leading Web3 game development platform, has announced a major partnership with Aethir. Aethir is known for its scalable Decentralized Cloud Infrastructure (DCI) tailored for gaming and AI. This partnership seeks to advance Web3 gaming infrastructure and enhance NFT ownership for players.
Sequence's partnership with Aethir marks a major step in merging cloud gaming with blockchain tech. Aethir's GPU marketplace makes use of unused processing power, making compute resources more efficient.
Paul Thind, Chief Revenue Officer at Aethir, said, "Sequence is a perfect partner to advance Aethir's vision in scaling Web3 gaming. Their development platform empowers studios; our decentralized network fuels those creations."
Aethir operates on a network built on Arbitrum, boasting over 2000 NVIDIA H100s and more than 40,000 high-end GPUs. The framework is backed by 75,000 Checker Nodes across 22,000 node operators. This setup reduces costs and improves accessibility for game developers.
Notably, the partnership tackles long-term issues in Web3 gaming, such as the maintenance of game servers for abandoned projects.
Sam Barberie, Head of Strategy and Partnerships at Sequence, said, "This partnership solves a critical challenge for Web3 game developers: access to affordable, high-performance computing power. By integrating Aethir's technology, Sequence empowers developers to build seamless games with the power to truly captivate players."
Sequence developers can also apply for free Aethir credits. This will give them the resources to craft Web3 experiences. The partnership opens up new avenues for game distribution, and allows players to access their in-game items even if the original devs are no longer involved.
Backed by Framework Ventures and Animoca Brands, Aethir has over 2 million community members with a number of Web3 collabs. Together, Sequence and Aethir are set to create a robust infrastructure for Web3 gaming, empowering both players and developers.
