RuneHero has just launched its first Closed Beta Test (CBT1), running from now until May 24th. If you want to be part of it, this is your chance. Players can explore the world, test their skills, and earn real rewards like cash, NFTs, and rare items during the event.
To join CBT1, you need either an Access Code or an activated xRune NFT. Without any one of these, you won't be able to enter the game. Keep in mind, all progress made during this beta will be wiped when it ends, so everyone starts fresh for the next phase.
Now, let's talk about what players can expect. CBT1 is packed with events and prizes for both PvP and PvE players. One of the biggest attractions is the cash prize pool. There is a base prize pool of $20,000. On top of that, 60% of all player spending during the beta will also go into the pool, making the total even larger.
For PvP fans, rewards are tied to the Arena Leaderboard (10k USDT + 20% spending). Rankings are based on Arena Points, and the prizes are as follows:
Meanwhile, for PvE grinders, there's a separate PvE Leaderboard (10k USDT + 40% spending). Rewards are even bigger here because the pool includes 40% of all player spending.
Beyond cash, players can also earn Celestial Stones, which are needed to craft Legendary Weapons — the strongest items in RuneHero. Each Legendary Weapon needs three Celestial Stones to make. These weapons dominate in both PvE and PvP, and the best part is that Celestial Stones collected during CBT1 will carry over into CBT2.
You can also earn Relic NFTs. These special items help your hero grow stronger in the long run.
At the same time, players can earn whitelist spots in the upcoming Arcane Crystal NFT mint event. Arcane Crystals are needed to enter dungeons and claim loot in CBT2. In CBT1, players can claim one free Arcane Crystal every 24 hours, with 150 energy, up to four times. These free crystals are non-tradable and non-rechargeable, but they let everyone fully enjoy PvE, PvP, and relic hunting without spending.
There are even more leaderboards to climb. The Trial Grounds Leaderboard ranks players based on the number of Trial Stones earned.
Similarly, the Wishing Pool Leaderboard ranks players by Wish Points collected with the same rewards.
Final Chapter Dungeons also offer players a shot at loot drops like Celestial Stones and whitelist spots, which can be freely traded on the in-game marketplace.
Also, the Guild Leaderboard will reward guilds based on how many of their players reach the top 500 Arena rankings. Top guilds can earn up to 30 whitelist spots.
RuneHero is a multiplayer online RPG set in a magical world called Herud. Players create heroes with custom skill trees and mix different classes to fit their style — whether that's huge damage, tough defense, or quick survival. The game has a flexible multi-class system, and there's a lot of strategic depth. You can explore PvE dungeons, battle other players in PvP arenas, and build a name for yourself.
Lastly, xRune is RuneHero's Genesis NFT. It's not just a collectible. It unlocks early access like CBT1, adds extra Arcane Crystal slots, gives transaction rebates, and seasonal boosts. Only 3,600 xRunes will exist, with the first 1,200 units already minted — 1,000 were sold and 200 kept by the team. As of now, the collection has a floor price of 0.08607 ETH (around $158).
