Rumble Kong League’s $FAME Token Launches on March 11th

The developers of Ronin-powered basketball game Rumble Kong League have officially announced that the $FAME token is launching on Tuesday, March 11th. Before TGE takes place, eligible players should claim their airdrop allocation straight away.

How to Claim $FAME Token Airdrop

To claim your $FAME token airdrop, you will need to mark your specified wallet on the RKL dashboard from the game’s official website.

According to the official announcement thread on X, you should login to the dashboard with your game account and make sure you’re using the same account you collected in-game $FAME Points with. Once you’ve made sure it’s the right account, click on your profile and go to “Account Settings” to check your connected wallets. If you already connected your wallets before, you should see an “Airdrop” tag marked on one of them in pink color. Make sure the tag is on the wallet you intend to claim from. You can easily switch your preferred airdrop wallet by clicking on the tag next to one of the wallet addresses, but only before the deadline. If you haven’t already connected your preferred wallet, make sure to do so before Monday, March 10th, 8 AM ET. Make sure to tag the right wallet before that deadline to be ready to claim on TGE, because after the deadline, you will no longer be able to change the wallet on which you can claim your token allocation on. 

The wallet on which you’d like to claim the airdrop needs to be an ERC-20 Ethereum wallet. Despite Rumble Kong League's migration to Ronin earlier this year, it looks like everyone will have to be ready to cover gas fees on Ethereum instead. Granted, the fees there aren't as high as they used to be, at least at the time of writing (potentially around $1 or $2 in ETH, though best to have more ready), but those are still comparably higher fees when looking at the low, or even free, transactions on the popular gaming chain.

Who Is Eligible For $FAME Token Airdrop?

Who is eligible for the airdrop? Well, if you collected $FAME Points during the game’s P2A seasons, such as the Soft Launch Season and/or the ongoing Ronin Season, or you were a part of this web3 game’s community earlier and gained SocialFi campaign rewards that include early playtest participation, you are eligible for the $FAME airdrop.

Last month, the $FAME token received updated tokenomics, revealing separate allocations for P2A Season 1 and SocialFi rewards. According to those tokenomics, and assuming they haven’t been changed again, 2% of the token’s 7 billion total supply is reserved for Season 1 rewards, while 3% of the token’s total supply is allocated for SocialFi rewards. Airdrop rewards for the current Ronin Season might fall under the “Ecosystem” category, which makes up 15% of the total supply and will have 30% unlocked on TGE, so even if you’ve been playing only this second season, you should be able to claim your full token allocation. As for Season 1 and SocialFi, both categories unlock 100% on TGE. The conversion rate from points to actual tokens still seems to be unknown at the time of writing, so you will probably just have to wait for TGE day to find that out.

What Is the $FAME Token?

The $FAME token is an ecosystem token dedicated to powering digital sports culture through the FAME Network multi-sports ecosystem.

As the upcoming network’s core currency, the token will enable seamless transactions while fueling competitive play to earn rewards in Rumble Kong League, the team’s flagship free to play mobile sports game that features arcade-style gameplay and soon its own metaverse ecosystem called Athlos City. The social sports hub will be a dynamic 3D space players can explore in third-person as a customizable Kong character. It will allow players to engage in PvP for $FAME tokens while enjoying seasonal events, tournaments, and mini-games. Athlos City will also allow players to interact and connect with a variety of popular brands and real athletes. These might include Stephen Curry, Paul George, Gatorade, Under Armour, Stance, and possibly more, as these are some of the backers who are supporting this digital sports ecosystem.
