The developers of Rumble Kong League have officially unveiled updated tokenomics for their upcoming $FAME token. Let’s see what’s changed and find out when the TGE and airdrop are supposed to happen now.
What Do the Updated $FAME Tokenomics Reveal?
The updated tokenomics come with a different $FAME token unlock schedule, but also updated supply distribution details.
Now, instead of releasing 896 million tokens (12.8%) at TGE, around 1.7 billion tokens will be released instead. This means that around 25.3% of the token’s 7 billion total supply unlocks on day 1.
The reason why more tokens are unlocking on TGE is because the vesting schedules have been adjusted. Specifically, the Community and Ecosystem categories.
The Community allocation, which represents NFT holders, now has a vesting period of 18 months instead of 24. 30% of the total supply is allocated to the community, and that seems to have stayed the same, but because of the shorter unlock schedule, 40% of this allocation now unlocks at TGE instead of 20%. That is 12% of the total supply, doubled from the previous 6%.
The Ecosystem section however now has a longer vesting schedule, but there’s more to it than just that. Ecosystem now has a vesting period of 48 months instead of 24, with 30% of its allocation unlocking on TGE instead of 15%, meaning 4.5% of the total supply, up from the 3% initially set. The number of tokens reserved for this category has changed though. There are now 1.05 billion tokens reserved for the Ecosystem instead of 1.4 billion, dropping its share of the of the total supply from 20% down to 15%. This actually seems to be because the Ecosystem allocation previously counted tokens reserved for social campaigns and the first play to airdrop season. Now those are listed as separate in the official emissions table: Social Fi and P2A SZN 1. The former includes 210 million tokens (3% of total supply), while the latter consists of 140 million tokens (2% of total supply). Both of these allocations will be completely unlocked on TGE without any vesting schedule.
So, everyone who took part in the soft launch of the mobile basketball game and earned $FAME points will have their airdrop fully unlocked on TGE, 100%. Assuming nothing changes again of course.
I’ve added the old tokenomics image and the new one below for comparison. Check out the official tokenomics overview linked in the X announcement to learn more about the upcoming token.

When Will the $FAME Token Launch? Is TGE Delayed?
The team initially planned to launch $FAME in late January or early February, but have decided to delay the TGE to late February 2025. There’s no exact date, but we do know that it will initially launch on Solana and feature gamified staking. This token encompasses an entire multi-sport ecosystem on its own blockchain network through which the goal is to bring “sports culture on-chain.” While Rumble Kong League is the first game, the developers are teasing that a new project will be revealed soon. Details on how airdrop claiming works is likely to be revealed soon.
Ahead of TGE, you can look forward to the game’s Season 2 starting on February 17th, giving players a new opportunity to play and earn $FAME during the game’s soft launch period. You can look forward to seeing major gameplay updates, a new mini-game, an overhaul of the league system, and the ability to wager Fame Points.
If you missed out on Rumble Kong League’s initial soft launch during which you could hoop and earn a $FAME airdrop for free, then you might not want to miss out on the next season, which you will likely be able to also enjoy for free on both Android and iOS. The first season ran from mid-December to January 26th. It was supposed to end earlier, but the airdrop campaign was extended following the game’s migration to Ronin. Since Season 2 starts probably about a week or two before TGE, it’s unclear if anyone will get an airdrop on token launch for participating, especially since the updated tokenomics specifically single out the first season, without mentioning the second one. I’m assuming this means that Season 2 players will probably receive tokens from the Ecosystem category, and if it lasts as long as the first season did, then the rewards will probably be claimable at some point after the $FAME token goes officially live.
