Ronin has rolled out its first-ever Ronin Bounties, giving players a chance to earn on-chain rewards by completing quests. Currently in closed beta, this feature is live for select Android and browser extension users of the Ronin Wallet, featuring over 4,700 AXS tokens (worth $33k as of writing) and 50 Nightmare Axies up for grabs.

What Are Ronin Bounties?

Ronin Bounties are gamified quests that let users earn on-chain rewards by completing missions through the Ronin Wallet. According to Sky Mavis, most quests are now focused on Axie Infinity, but the feature will expand to other games and users in 2025.

The closed beta launched on December 17th and is available exclusively to:

  • Android users with Ronin Wallet version 2.6.0.
  • Browser extension users on version 2.2.1.

iOS users will need to wait until the full feature rollout next year.

Prizes Up for Grabs

As such, Ronin has kicked things off with two Axie-related quests. Together, they offer a chance to earn 4,700 AXS tokens (valued at around $33k) and 50 Nightmare Axies, which are rare, limited in-game creatures. The rewards are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis, making speed and consistency key for players.

Axie-Related Quests: Your Path to Rewards

The first Ronin Bounties focus on Axie Infinity, the game that put Ronin on the map. These two initial quests include daily activities and in-game tasks designed to reward players while deepening their connection to the Axie ecosystem.

Quest Details

  1. Bounty 1: Begin Your Quest – Welcome to Lunacia
    • Reward: 0.5 AXS per finisher (up to 3,744 AXS in total).
    • Mission Requirements:
      • Complete a five-day streak of wallet check-ins.
      • Fulfill a five-day streak with Atia’s Blessing.
      • Purchase and hold at least one Axie.
      • Win five PvP matches in Axie Classic or Origins.
  2. Bounty 2: Bring the Heat
    • Reward: 1 AXS per finisher (up to 1,000 AXS in total).
    • Mission Requirements:
      • Buy a Summer Axie.

To be eligible, players must join the Axie Infinity Discord and verify their participation through the Ronin Wallet.

How to Get Started

If you've been selected for closed beta access, follow these steps to join the bounties:

  1. Update Your Ronin Wallet to the latest version (Android 2.6.0 or Browser 2.2.1).
  2. Check the “Quests” Section: Go to your wallet and see if you’re eligible for the beta.
  3. Start the Quests: Access the two Axie missions after December 17th.
  4. Complete the Missions: Fulfill the bounty requirements before the campaign ends on December 31st.
  5. Request Rewards: Submit your reward request through the wallet before January 3rd, 2025.

Note: Prizes are distributed within 2–3 business days after the January 3rd deadline. 

First Come, First Served

With the rewards capped at 7,488 finishers for Bounty 1 and 1,000 finishers for Bounty 2, speed matters. Those who complete the quests but miss the cutoff will still have a shot at winning one of 25 Nightmare Axies through a raffle for each completed quest.

The Future of Ronin Bounties

These Axie-related quests are just the beginning for Ronin Bounties. The closed beta offers a chance to test and refine the system before a broader rollout in 2025. Ronin plans to make this feature accessible to all wallet users and expand it to include bounties for other games. Builders within the Ronin ecosystem will also get to create custom bounties, further gamifying the experience.
