Immutable, the leading Web3 gaming platform, has collaborated with Shutdown to introduce a new Web3 shooter game on the blockchain. The new game will be powered by Polygon and use Immutables’ zkEVM technology.
Immutable’s president and co-founder Robbie Ferguson, said, “We are excited to partner with Shutdown and bring them on to the Immutable zkEVM chain. This is a chain built by gamers for gamers and gaming studios, and Shutdown’s audience will experience what the best of Web3 gaming should look like.”
Garage Studios has developed Rouge AI Shooter Game and Shutdown offers an immersive gaming experience where players engage in battles against virtual enemies in a dwindling universe. Immutable, on the other hand, is known for its expertise in Web3 gaming. It provides a platform for developers and creators to deploy games on the blockchain. With Immutable, Shutdown can offer in-game features and NFT trading options.
The collaboration is focused on integrating the game with Immutables’ zkEVM features. This combines zero-knowledge roll-up technology with Etereum’s ecosystem to provide enhanced experiences to developers and players. Immutable provides Passport, Oderbook, and Checkout, integrated with zkEVM, to developers as tools to build and optimize their products.
Not to mention, Shutdown will upgrade its gameplay with these resources and allow players to trade, customize, and upgrade in-game assets easily. The company took inspiration from classic RPG mechanics with a storyline and engaging gameplay. Further, the company developed it over 5 years and players can expect various challenges and missions.
Additionally, the game has classic top-down co-op shooter gameplay and players can gain powerful in-game assets and modes. Industry leaders such as Disney, Pixar, Ubisoft, and more have been leading Shutdown. Huston Song, game director, has expressed his excitement about the partnership. He said, “Partnering with Immutable brings a new dimension to ShutDown, enhancing scalability, efficiency, and NFT integration.”
