Remix has announced that hundreds of games from their AI-powered ecosystem can now launch as Snap Apps on World App, opening a new distribution channel for creators to use in growing their playerbase. To mark the occasion, Remix has partnered with Worldcoin for a special creator contest featuring a $5000 total prize pool that is designed to reward top-performing games in five different categories.

What Are Snap Apps in Remix?

Snap Apps are web-based, stand-alone versions of Remix games that can be shared and accessed independently of the Remix platform. They are designed to give developers the flexibility to distribute their titles across multiple platforms, including World App, Base, and Farcaster.

Unlike traditional apps that require lengthy installation processes, Snap Apps can be launched instantly inside host applications. This means that a player opening World App can jump directly into a game without any additional downloads. For creators, this translates into higher retention, more frictionless engagement, and a stronger chance to build long-term audiences.

Key features of Snap Apps include:

  • Custom domain and branded subdomain: Every Snap App has a unique web address, making it easy for creators to market their game through shareable links.
  • Independent discoverability: Games are not locked into the ecosystem hub. Instead, they can exist on their own pages, boosting visibility and brand recognition.
  • Built-in utilities: Advanced capabilities such as analytics, push notifications, and deep-linking help creators track performance and re-engage players.
  • No technical barriers: Snap Apps do not require coding skills or the use of traditional game engines. Anyone can build and publish a game with natural language prompts.

As a result, Snap Apps not only serve as a powerful new tool for distribution but also as a way to put the spotlight on creativity over resources, giving solo developers a better opportunity to garner a larger gaming audience.

How to Launch a Snap App on World App

The process for launching a Snap App on World App is fairly straightforward.

First off, your Remix game needs to graduate to a Snap App within the Remix ecosystem. In order for your game to be eligible for graduation, it needs to meet certain criteria that are based on play count and positive community reviews. These include having over 1000+ total plays, 500+ unique players, 25+ favorites, and a 4+ rating with a minimum of 10 reviews.

Once your game has graduated to a Snap App, or if you’ve went through this process already, you’re then ready to launch your game on the World App. To do so, simply access the Snap Apps tab that is found on the left side of the dashboard area of the Remix website and select “World App” to start the publishing process.

How to Participate in Remix x Worldcoin $5K Creator Contest

To celebrate the launch of Snap Apps on World App, Remix and Worldcoin are giving away $5000 in rewards through a special creator contest. The prize pool is split evenly across 5 different categories, each of which are worth $1000:

  • Most Time Spent Playing: Awarded to the game that engages players the longest.
  • Highest Retention: For the game that keeps players coming back consistently.
  • Most Unique Users: Recognizing the title that attracts the largest number of individual players.
  • Editor’s Choice (World): Selected by World App’s editorial team.
  • Editor’s Choice (Remix): Chosen by Remix curators to highlight standout games.

The contest ends on August 31, so be sure to submit your Snap App to World App as soon as possible for a chance to win $1000 in one of the 5 categories. Check out the official video guide at the end of the below X thread to kickstart your journey into creating casual games using AI.

What is World App?

World App, developed by Tools for Humanity, is the first wallet application built for the Worldcoin ecosystem. It combines identity verification, crypto payments, and now AI gaming in a single user-friendly interface.

For Worldcoin, supporting Snap Apps helps expand utility beyond finance. Games are interactive, engaging, and accessible, making them an ideal way to introduce new users to web3. This partnership also represents the growing convergence between gaming and financial infrastructure. As wallets expand into identity, payments, and entertainment, platforms like Remix can position themselves at the forefront of a new digital landscape.

About Remix

Remix, previously known as Farcade, is an AI-powered gaming platform built on Base that allows anyone to create games using plain English prompts. Since its inception, the platform has hosted over 800 unique titles, delivered more than 18 million plays while reaching more than 500k players.

The platform is backed by Base, Lemniscap, and Variant, and has already achieved top rankings on Farcaster and World App as the #1 gaming app. In early July, Farcade rebranded to Remix and launched Snap Apps.

Build on Remix for Rewards and Token Airdrop

Beyond the new Snap Apps integration, Remix also offers creators a direct way to earn rewards by simply building games. By writing text prompts to design games within minutes, builders could become eligible for future rewards, including participation in a potential token airdrop once the platform holds its TGE.

Game jams are another path to earning. These collaborative contests are hosted by ecosystem partners and challenge developers to design creative titles based on specific themes or intellectual property. Winners share prize pools that highlight innovation and fun gameplay.

Activity outside of competitions also matters. Developers can create and share as many games as they like, with engagement from players feeding into a system of rewards. According to an official X post, 11 metrics are being tracked to determine airdrop point allocation, including:

  • Builder Badges
  • Builder Tier progression
  • Gamer Level
  • Authentic Game Reviews
  • Leaderboard Placements
  • Referrals
  • Discord Roles / Community Engagement
  • Game Achievements
  • Tournament Placements and Friend Challenges
  • Playtime
  • Daily Streak

Each element contributes to a creator’s standing in the ecosystem. Builder Badges reflect how successful your games are, while Builder Tiers are unlocked by leveling up with Builder XP, earned from making continuous updates to your AI games. Gamer Level grows through daily play and achievements, and even metrics like playtime and daily log-ins factor could factor into the final tally.

By rewarding both creativity and engagement, Remix encourages users to participate as builders, players, and community members. The more active someone is in the ecosystem, the higher the chance of securing meaningful rewards in the upcoming token distribution.

While an exact TGE date has not been announced, anyone interested can sign up at remix.gg using Farcaster, Worldcoin, MetaMask, Phantom, or WalletConnect and start building games for free.
