NFT owners in card battle 2D strategy game, Rebel Bots Xoil Wars, now have the ability to lend their assets to others with the introduction of the rental system.
The rental system is a smart contract-based system that enables players to rent NFTs from owners that aren’t actively using them. This makes it possible for new players with no NFTs to jump in and earn crypto rewards while holders passively earn by sharing the rewards with the renter.
In this case, owners can lend battle sets that consist of 1 Xoilium Land NFT and 3 Fighting Bot NFTs, which are the assets players need to properly start playing this Web3 title. Anyone interested can find battle sets to rent on the game’s official marketplace.
The system features both public and private renting. This gives holders freedom to choose whether they’d like to allow anyone to rent their assets from the marketplace, or if they’d like to reserve their battle set for a particular person.
When someone rents a battle set, the system sets the rental period to 7 days, but holders can give players the option to renew their rentals if they want to. With the whole system running on smart contracts, the whole rental process is automated, with the announcement stating that having the system built this way ensures “secure and transparent transactions.”
