Rebel Bots Announces Epic War, a Prequel to Xoil Wars

The Rebel Bots team has revealed that they’re working on a second game called Epic War, which is set to act as a prequel to Xoil Wars and be geared towards mainstream gamers.

What Is Epic War?

Epic War is an upcoming free-to-play mobile title which acts as the second game in the Rebel Bots gaming universe by serving as a prequel to Xoil Wars. Based on the announcement, the team’s second game will immerse you in the Rebel Bots lore by taking you on a time-travel adventure to 2052, where you’ll see how artificial intelligence rose to prominence and how Rebel Bots fought humanity in order to escape Earth.

While no specific details on gameplay are available at the time of writing, the developers have guaranteed that the game will be “an absolute blast” and provide “endless fun, addictive gameplay, and lightning-fast action!” 

The goal of this Web3 game is to introduce mainstream, Web2 players to gaming NFTs, in an effort to show the benefits of blockchain technology while growing the playerbase of more blockchain-focused titles such as Xoil Wars. As such, the game will come out on app stores in order to make everything as accessible as possible.

When Will It Launch?

While no specific release date was given, the Web3 title is set to launch at some point before the end of the year, after Xoil Wars officially releases by the end of this month. Whenever it does though, NFT holders can expect to get some goodies, as the developers have teased that rewards and benefits are on the way, stating that they owe “a massive debt of gratitude to our loyal community of NFT collection holders — you are the VIPs of this incredible universe!”
